The Most Expensive Pain I’ve Ever Experienced!

I admit I am not aging gracefully, so when I came across a no-interest payment plan for Ultherapy, I was in. It was described by the Ideal Image agent in GA as a “tingly” sensation. No anesthesia was offered or needed, she said. I got there and the technician did the area from my hairline to my cheekbones. Ultherapy is administered in three visits, I was told. The next appointment would be for my neck and then, finally, the rest of my face. I leaned back in the chair and she put a device against my skin that was supposed to shoot rays beneath the surface and stimulate my body to make collagen. What the device did was to cause sharp pain. I actually yelled out, it was so bad. I asked if a local anesthetic were available and was told no. The session was awful and I couldn’t wait until it ended.

I was told any bruising or swelling would last only a few days. Here I am, exactly one week later, and the bruising was noticed and questioned at rehearsal this morning.

Secondly, the next appointment is at the end of October and the final appointment about a week later. No rhyme or reason to the scheduling. I wanted to get it over with sooner.

THEN, I was charged $240+ for “products” that would be shipped to me. They arrived yesterday: exactly two small bottles — one a lotion and the other (are you ready?) a sunscreen.

There is no way to get a refund of my money. I signed a contract.

My advice? Run as fast as you can away from ANY Ideal Image location or “deal.” You can get pain free. Why pay a couple of thousand dollars for it? I couldn’t add an image because it was “too large.” They don’t want you to see the result, I guess.
