Here is my nose after my surgery with dr farshid (6 months)
WORST DECISION EVER. After seeing dr farshids...
WORST DECISION EVER.
After seeing dr farshids instagram with pictures of beautiful perfect noses, small and defined just like how i wanted (found out that they have been photoshopped, don't believe everything on social media!), i decided that he was going to be the doctor to operate on me for the second time. it would be my second rhinoplasty so i wanted to make sure i was choosing the right doctor but after finding out that one of my favourite instagram personalities had her nose done with dr farshid, i was sold. Pixie foxes' nose look perfect! i thought to myself this is exactly the nose i wanted!
I reached out to dr farshids assistant, who seemed to be a bit of a creep to be honest (i later found out that i weren't the only one who felt like this about him, he had made advances to a lot of the girls!) he told me my revision would cost 3000 euros, and that it would be in ukraine which i was fine with, i sent him my pictures and later was contacted by dr farshid telling me he would be happy to operate on me as he was confident he could achieve the nose i wanted. i was ecstatic!
I bought my ticket to ukraine and awaited my surgery in january 2017.
January came and i was so excited it was overwhelming! I would finally have my dream nose. Everyone had told me not to do it as my nose looked fine but i was just not pleased with it, i thought to myself i would be happy after this time with my nose and this would be my final surgery.
I flew over to ukraine and was greeted at kiev airport by farshids assistant and another patient he had also picked up at the airport. We made our way to the hotel and got shown our rooms, 100 euro a night which i was fine with. We rested that night and in the morning saw Dr farshid. My consultation with him was brief and he didnt really go through everything thoroughly, for example if i would have a closed or open rhinoplasty which i had forgotten to ask, but should have been said by the doctor anyway i felt! When your excited and think your being operated by a great surgeon you trust him so much you kind of forget the questions you normally would have asked to any other surgeon. i showed him pictures from his instagram page and he said he could achieve the results i wanted and that all i really felt i needed to hear.
The assistant took me to another room in which he wanted to deal with the payment, he told me i could only pay with cash which i have never heard of before. In all seriousness who travels with that amount of cash on them? Not just only for the procedure but also the hotel i had to pay cash? I had so much trouble taking out cash in ukraine i nearly couldn't have the surgery (wish i never did) but managed to eventually get cash.
I waited 7 days before i had my surgery in kiev, the lack of professionalism should have been clear to me by then, they had kept telling me i would be next only ending up having to wait and wait for my surgery. I was taken to what looked like an outdated clinic and was told to wait for the nurse to call me in. I wore all the necessary items like surgery knickers and hair net with a surgery gown. 2 hours later arriving to the clinic i was finally called in and sedated. I've been in surgery twice before and have not felt like what i felt going into sleep any other time. it was not smooth at all, i can't really describe it.
When i woke up i felt as if i woke up in the middle of the surgery, no one was telling me everything was fine and that it went well and to be calm, i quickly panicked on the surgery table and started throwing up, only then did they rush over to me. The pain was so intense i begged for a pain relief shot, which did make the pain go away but i was extremely high and out of it. I was taken to my bed where i slept.
In the morning when i woke up i was in agony again, the was blood everywhere especially in my hair, i had two black eyes which were so swollen i could barely see.
The medicine they gave for me to take back to the hotel were antibiotics and painkillers which i later found out were only ibuprofen as it was written in the russian language!
I had packing in my nose which was taken out 2 days later, this to me was the most unprofessional experience I've ever had.. because the doctor used the same tool on all the patients as we were in a hotel room having it taken out. Girls complained but the doctor didnt take any care and said it would be fine!
The next day i had my splint taken out, which didnt hurt but when he told me to breathe i couldn't at all. i knew something was wrong.
I had very visible blue stitching around my nose, which he said i should get taken out 10 days later when i was back in london.
I waited another 3 days in which time my boyfriend had travelled from london to take me back. He was horrified when he saw me as my eyes were so swollen and black he had never seen anything like it before.
On the plane pressure was building up in my nose which grew to the point i started crying loudly because i was in so much pain, had never felt anything like it before, the flight attendants gave me oxygen which didnt help, the pain ended abruptly when something burst in my nose, I'm guessing a piece of bone cracked because of the pressure.
When i was back in london after a few days i went to see a nurse who took the stitching out, she was concerned about my nose as it seemed very swollen to her. But in my mind it was all going to be okay because i TRUSTED dr farshid.
it is now July and my nose is a mess. It is collapsed and my nostrils are so small i can hardly breathe, it looks like i have been punched in the nose as it is so flat is disformed. i cry a lot and wish i had never gone to ukraine and had my nose done with dr farshid, i wish i can go back in time and stop myself but the inly thing i can do is find another surgeon who can fix my disgusting nose.
I did contact dr farshid and his assistant, they told me to wait until my swelling had gone and that he could operate on me again in november for free, but i declined as the girls i had the procedure done with in ukraine have contacted me and all of them are not happy with their noses.
I would highly suggest no one to go to dr farshid as he doesn't care about patients happiness, just about money, which he wants in cash probably to avoid some taxes.
