Original before Removal

I don't have any close ups of the original tattoo. These pictures were taken about 7-8 years ago when I genuinely loved the tattoo. The bottom half of my arm is now in block colour (Chinese style) waves and dark red roses. I intend to remove the entire sleeve. But I thought I'd post these pics so you can see the difference before and after removal.

Hey all. My names Jessy. I'm 27 from The UK!!!

I plan to discuss and document my tattoo removal and reasons for doing so at some point. But for now, I'm curious about something.

I had my first laser session today. (Excruciating but I can't wait to see results.)

Anyways. I understand that sessions can be quite pricey. Which is why I purchased a deal on groupon for 6 sessions of tattoo removal on an 8"x8" to start me off. (I expect the price to explode once I get back to paying regular price. But I'm willing to pay the price!!

So. (I won't name names.) But before I purchased the deal. I read some reviews about this clinic and everything seemed legit.

I turned up today and felt very uncomfortable. My skin specialising invited me in and didn't even introduce herself. Instead, she huffed and puffed whilst I took my time trying to find my voucher code. She then briefly discussed laser tattoo removal, asked what I wanted removing and then flicked a switch, passed me the goggles and went straight in there. (She didn't put my mind at ease. Even after explaining that I'd never had laser removal before.) I half expected her to warn me of the slight discomfort. But nothing. She just said 'Ready?' And went straight ahead with the zapping!!!

I thought today was just a consultation. She didn't even ask me how old the tattoo was or who did it? I also expected a test patch but instead she went straight in with a full on session.

I was silent the entire session. Despite the excruciating pain I was going through. (Note: I have a very high pain threshold and the pain of tattoos had never bothered me but this was something else. I thought I was going to throw up or faint within the first minute. I even have a full foot tattoo and I thought that was the worst pain I'd ever experienced but this laser was far worse.

It felt super quick for an 8x8 surface area. It took about 4 minutes. (Is the normal?)

Then she said 'Wow, you handled that well. That's you done' Offered me some advice on healing etc and then booked me in for my next session, 22 days from today.

I looked down at my arm and the laser impact is obvious in the fact that it's dotted. (See picture.) Is this normal? Has she rushed the procedure? I've seen videos and pictures of laser removal immediately after, with the usual whitening etc and the whitening usually covers the entire tattoo but here, there's gaps and missed spots and it seems pretty extensive? I'm concerned that when i start paying full price, I'll be paying for poorly done sessions.

Any advice is welcome. I have zero experience so I could be wrong. I was just surprised to see the outcome so patchy.

On a lighter note, the parts of the skin where the laser has impacted; I'm completely thrilled about. There's already some considerable fading!!!

Please don't judge me on having the most vile tattoos on the planet. (I'm very aware. Hahah.)
