I have recently undergone hair transplant surgery at Dr Yaman's Clinic in Istanbul and want to share my experience. Before making my choice of clinic I was amazed at the choice and variety of surgery’s, procedures and prices, I initially was bombarded by multiple companies which I found very confusing. I had also read many reviews where patients expectations were not met after their procedure and even some poor results requiring correction. I had a friend who had a really good experience at Dr Yaman's Clinic so I contacted them, my personal contact for the UK was Fikret and nothing was too much trouble, I had regular dialogue with him often after hours but always got the information required to put my mind at ease and finally book my procedure with Dr Yaman. On arrival at Istanbul everything had been arranged for me, I was picked up at the airport and chauffeured to my Hotel (Divan Hotel), I am a regular worldwide traveller through work and pleasure and this really was a pleasant and comfortable Hotel to stay in, throughout this Fikret was in continual contact, advising me of what I need to do and what process we would be undertaking next. This is the kind of support that really helps and puts your mind at ease in what could have been very nerving circumstances. The next morning after a good breakfast I was picked up and taken to the clinic for my surgery, again on arrival I was met by a team of friendly faces, the nurses were interested in how I felt and the caring nature of the team really put my mind at ease. On meeting Dr Yaman, I had my consultation where Dr Yaman clearly explained each step of the procedure there is too much detail to put in the review but again this was valued assurance that I was in safe hands. The whole clinic was outstanding in terms of cleanliness and there were also welcomed distraction of TV / music which helped entertain me throughout my procedure. Throughout the transplant I had various teams looking after me through different stages of the surgery, however all staff were really friendly, stopping regularly to check that I was OK / comfortable, keeping me rehydrated with regular drinks and foods ensuring my blood sugars remained correct and ultimately made me feel I was being really well looked after. I had a break half way through the procedure where I had a meal, drinks and time to relax and before I knew it my full procedure “3850 grafts” was complete. I had 2 further visits to the clinic to have my bandages removed and then to have my hair washed and medication administered, again I had a full suite of information giving me the confidence that I was able to return home without any worries about my recovery, I have also had many helpful text’s from Fikret since arriving home checking my progress is good and whether I require any further support. Throughout the whole of my experience Dr Yaman, Fikret and the whole team of nurses and staff went way beyond my expectation of service and care. The whole team felt more like friends by the end of my time in Istanbul, even including my driver who was warm friendly and welcoming. On my return to the U.K I have had time to reflect and feel 100% that Dr Yaman's Clinic was the right choice for me and I could not have received better service and care when looking for someone to do my transplant. Dr Yaman's Clinic is amazing value for money and receives my highest recommendation.
