Wonderful experience, I am so glad I choose Dr. Sillins

2 weeks vs 3 weeks

WORTH IT$8,000
Seems like the swelling is coming back. Worse then the 2 weeks(11 days) post op pic. Ugh. But the bruising is going away and my belly button is looking better.

Pain is finally slowing down!

I’m about 3 weeks post op now and I still have intense pain at night and in the morning, but through out the day it seems like I’m pain free for the most part. I had a really good day two days ago, then the next day I had a bad day. They come and they go, but I’m excited that I’m finally having some relief. Here in about 4 days, I’ll be on my own with pain management. We’ll see how that goes, not excited about that. Actually very worried but I’m beginning to have some relief, so I hope 4 days is enough time for my pain to reside. I’m walking a lot more to try prepare my body to heal quickly before these 4 days come. Here’s a pic of my 3 week post op. Stitches were removed from belly button, and tape was removed and replaced with thinner tape. I’ll be removing the thinner tape myself in two days and I’ll be starting my scar cream/scar therapy. I was recommended coco butter, anyone have other recommended for scar therapy that worked great for them?

Staying positive.

Today is 11 days post op and it was the worst day so far. I was very nauseous and really sore all day. But I was finally able to enjoy the shower for the first time because I’m used to my stomach tightness without the binder on. I finally don’t feel like my guts are going to fall out without the binder on hahah! Emotionally I’ve been feeling very discouraged because I’ve been told the pain should be slowing down and I’m supposed to be feeling better now, but Im not and I feel like I’m behind everyone else at 11 days post op, but I’ve always had a low pain tolerance so it’s not unexpected just nerve racking because I don’t deal with pain well. But on the plus side, my 11 day post op picture gives me so much hope and makes all this pain and discomfort so worth it! I pray this next week is my turning week. I’m so ready to be pain free!!!! Regardless of the pain and discomfort, Im so grateful for Dr. Sillins and her staff! Every doctor visit I leave feeling confident and excited.

You look amazing! I’m so excited for you!! Thanks for sharing your journey. I wouldn’t compare to anyone else at only 11 days. It’s still so soon after surgery. Did you get a full tummy tuck or extended? I ask because it looks like you had a drainless tummy tuck & I want to have an extended but have not heard of anyone getting one without a drain.
Thank you! I had a full tummy tuck and I had my stomach muscles stitched back together and then I had some lipo on my sides and upper stomach. And yes I did have a drain. It was removed 4 days post op and there was only one drain. If you look above my lady part, there's a little hole, that's where the drain was and is still healing. Right now its just a little scab. To be honest, the drain didn't bother me at all. Even getting it removed and I'm a big baby when it comes to pain.
You look fantastic! I'm on a similar timeline - I had my surgery the day after. I'm just now starting to feel better with reduced pain. I continue to have a lot of swelling, but overall I'm feeling OK. Looking forward to following you!
You look great!! I had my tummy tuck with 360 lipo a month ago and still in pain, super swollen still and still walking hunched over. Everyone recovers differently so I wouldn't compare to anyone else's.
Thank you so much for responding with this. I've been feeling so behind, alone, and misunderstood and I'm happy to hear I'm not the only one, but sad to hear you've also been having pain. Do you care to let me know what pain management you've been using currently that works best for you now that you're 4 weeks post op? I'll be at that point next week and I need a game plan incase I don't turn a corner next week.
To be honest, I haven't taken anything since day 4 - 5. I have a high tolerance for pain so maybe that's why too. I've had hiccups along the way and still dealing with it, but every day it does get a little better. There will be days where it feels like you had a set back, but just take a deep breathe and remember why we're on this journey. You got this! Listen to your body and take it a day at a time.
Thank you so much for the encouraging words!
