Weight Loss Makeover
After having lost a significant amount of weight, I was left with extra sagging skin. My abdomen and my arms were the most concerning to me. I consulted with one other surgeon before deciding on Dr. Prince. As a weight loss patient, my options are limited as some local surgeons will not work on me because I am deemed a higher risk.
The surgeon that I consulted with prior to Dr. Prince suggested a more invasive procedure (that I really was not comfortable with, nor did I understand what it actually entailed although I did consider the opinion as I am not knowledgeable in these areas) as well as a combination of procedures that included doing my arms and abdomen at the same time. I was excited about that because those were my main concerns. I wanted to get those two procedures out of the way and move on to other areas of need.
In initially consulting with Dr. Prince, regarding the more invasive procedure, she determined that "I was right on the line" and may could achieve my desired outcome without being that invasive. We both agreed not to go there, which saved money and recovery on my end! As far as the combination of arms and abdomen together, Dr. Prince was not comfortable with that because of safety reasons. She explained to me how I needed my arms to lift and maneuver myself around as well as the length of time in surgery. I was disappointed initially, however, I was very impressed that Dr. Prince took my safety in the OR and in recovery seriously enough to not do a procedure. She could potentially lose out on that financially but my safety truly won out, and with that she won my trust.
I have to bring up Dr. Prince's staff as well. Each of them have gone above and beyond for me, whether it is responding to my MANY emails with outcome concerns or sitting on hold with me literally for hours trying to figure out my Care Credit issues- I have truly felt genuine care from them. I can not say enough about the help they have given me! They are all fabulous!
My journey is not over just yet, but I have had two procedures (in one surgery session) with Dr. Prince. I absolutely love my results. I have never been happier with the way my body looks than I am right now. I have teared up several times after surgery looking at my results. I had so many questions about my procedures- I just could not picture what would look best for me, my body type, my shape, etc. I looked at all the examples possible, but I didn't know what would be best for me. Dr. prince listened to me and picked up on what direction I was heading. I ultimately told her, "You know better than me, you can foresee what I will look like, I am in your hands."
She truly does have a woman's touch and far more insight to our needs. My outcome is beyond what I thought it would be. My body looks very natural and beautiful. As long as Dr. Prince and her staff will grace me with their skill, expertise and wisdom, they will be my team in achieving my goals.
