This is the hardest review I've had to write because the worst feeling is giving a low review for a place you like, I'm giving two stars because I would give the dr/staff themselves and the cleanliness of the office a 5 star, but the operation experience, recovery, and scaring a 1 star, I have to be honest so here's why.... First off Dr. Kadz is great made e feel at ease, super sweet, good bedside manner, but was much shorter time with him than I expected, the staff is so friendly and sweet especially Monique. The anesthesiologist had great bedside manner and was absolutely wonderful, especially when I started to getting scared from anxiety about doing it... so why a low review then, well I booked this appointment and explained I had travel to Mexico for a very special family trip, planned for 2 1/2 months after the date of surgery and asked if I'd be healed in time, they assured me it'd take about 2 weeks to heal, I thought great, I can exercise for about 2 months after I recover and be ready for tulum. Unfortunately I had severe complications despite staying completely on bed rest for the two weeks solid only getting up to go the the restroom n shower. I developed would separation aka dehiscence at around 2-3 weeks post op. They foot so bad, when I called he was very calm about it just told me to shower , hot compresses, which I did relentlessly - I'd never heard of this or that it was a possibility. I know many people that had tummy tucks and they went amazing, my sister was up and around after three days, my cousin a week. But not me... my wounds separated in some spots over 2" wide. I talked with other doctors and they did say it doesn't happen a lot but it does happen and is getting more common, but the reasons are usually underlying illnesses/diseases (which I have none) poor diet (N/A- I eat all organic & healthy) or not enough or improper sutures or pulling the skin too tight . They said most cases of dehiscence are found in places with non board certified doctors, or very cheap rates/places (like miami) or out of the country, none of which were the case so I was baffled! But I leave for Mexico in 16 days and I'm still not even healed. It's been over 2 months, and I still have open wounds!!! Plus where it has closed/healed, it's SO UGLY! It's bunched up skin (because it opened in big holes) the line is not even (possible from the separation) it's just awful. On top of that I had lipo on my hips and thighs, because I've barely been able to move much in 2 months, it's created a dip above my butt, and my thighs there is NO difference, the before and after of others looked great and for an additional $2k I thought that's what I'd get !! but I see no difference except where the tube was shoved in, there is weird dips, but no where else, thighs still rub together, nothing like the before and after a I had seen (maybe it'll keep loosing ??) but as of right now, I don't see any difference, and what's worse is I planned two weeks off work, I lost my job because it was so painful to move , and get around and I couldn't even lift anything this whole time and I was unable to return, so I lost out on now going on OVER two months of income, and as a single mom this is something I COULD NOT DO... I'm sorry to say it was a very awful experience and has ruined my summer and family trip coming up. I was trying to wait to leave a review so I could add as horrible as the complications were it all worked out, but it hasn't. And if this happened to someone else I'd want to know, before making a decision.

I'm so sorry this happened to you! You read about it but don't think it's going to happen to you! The question is, do you trust your doctor to do a scar revision when you are all healed? You certainly are entitled to one. And as far as the exercising goes, I believe you are not cleared to exercise for at least 6 weeks, and even then no abdominal work for at least three months. I've never heard of being able to exercise after two weeks after a tummy tuck? I hope you continue to heal and you find resolution. It's awful when you spend so much money to look better and feel you look worse!

Well I meant start exercising, after being in bed rest, walking to eventually jogging, cardio work and so on as time goes on. I don’t know if I trust revision, it’s been so painful and the scar looks horrible, and once it heals completely I know it’ll be worse, the spots still open are wide and I know are going to heal worse than what already has. I was considering other work that he recommended at the tome (eyelid lift) and lipo under the buttocks but since the lipo I got is no different for such a big $ price and this healing process I’m not sure if even consider it now. After I posted this I scrolled down and saw I am not the only on experiencing this from him so now I’m convinced it was either improper sutures or pulling too tight. Idk I spent so much to feel normal, to remove my insecurities and now on a big reunion I won’t even be able to put on a swim suit which is what I wanted it for. Just so disappointed

First off let me say I'm so sorry to hear that this happened to you and that things did not and are not doing well I know your expectations were high but I must be completely honest even though your office the office may have been clean and the doctor and the staff were nice, from what you have written here it just clearly seems this was not a good surgeon and he did not know at all what he was talking about and gave you bad info. Also not to blame you but you should do a lot of research before you have any surgery go on sites like this real self ,talk to other people that have had the same procedure and you did say you had a cousin or a friend and there's was fine I also had a tummy tuck right before I had a big trip to go on. I had a TT in October 2020 and I had my big birthday trip in February I was going out of the country. A TT is a very serious surgery a lot of people seem to think because it is cosmetic and not for serious health reasons that it is not that serious.....you are being cut hip to hip cut and then having a tube shoved back-and-forth in your body I don't know how any doctor would've told you you would have been OK to exercise or anything on that level in 2 weeks !! no way I think he should be suspended for even telling you that my doctor and everywhere I researched said at least six weeks and of course everyone heals differently but still no one is healed from a TT in two weeks my doctor told me six weeks that's a little over a month and that's accurate. So that's two months it takes a week 7 to 10 days for any stitches on the outside to be removed and yes you should lay down at least the first 24 to 48 hours but like another person commented you should not lay down all that time my doctor told me to help healing you must get up and let the blood flow that promotes healing. laying down all that time you could get blood clots bedsores all kinds of things stiff I'm surprised you were able to walk after not moving your body for so long you do not put warm compresses on the area I was told stitches should stay dry and ice is used for relief of different things but not warm. I don't want to go into a long thing but unfortunately you were given just a lot of bad information and maybe they didn't want to ruin your trip but a Dr. worth his name wouldn't have told you you could work out in two weeks absolutely you can get up and move around and walk around you must again to promote healing have healthy blood flow you cannot work out you will not be ready to go on a major family trip none of that in two weeks it's very sad and disappointing. I'm curious where your cousin and friend completely healed from a TT 2 weeks? yes it looks like your stitches came out to early and even though you laid in bed it looks like you were moving around the scar does have a lot to do with the way the doctor cuts you and the way your own body heals so that is not all the doctors fault. This is just bad I wish you could've gone to my doctor your stitches cannot be too tight you want your skin to be closed up oozing is possible a little a little bleeding is possible but stitches come out in 7 to 10 days unless they were on the inside that dissolve on their own or meant to stay on the inside forever. This was just bad I'm so sorry I'm afraid this doctor probably will not revise your scar for free and I would not trust him to do anything else to me you can have your scar fixed though my advice would be to really do your research don't let a nice smile fool you for being a good doctor. good luck to you if you need a doctor here in California my doctor is fantastic and I had to have my scar revised but it had to do more with my healing and we had to wait and see what that would be your body heals literally for a good year. But when I went on my birthday trip 4months later after my tummy tuck I was good I was great but that was four months and I was concerned that would not be enough time but six weeks I was able to drive again walk around lift bend but in six weeks almost 2 months two weeks again good luck and I am praying for you. YOU DEFINITELY DESERVE TO LOOK HOW YOU WANTED AND EXPECTED AND YOU WILL ITS JUST GOING TO TAKE A LITTLE LONGER. You WILL BE HAPPY AND THIS HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE WILL JUST BE APART OF YOUR STORY AND JOURNEY WHEN YOU FINALLY LOOK AT YOURSELF IN THE MIRROR AND SMILE. AND FEEL GOOD ABOUT YOURSELF

I am so sorry this happened to you.. I have to echo what the last comment was about if you trust your doc to see if he would do a scar revision?. Unfortunately complications can happen and if you feel he had done a good job with the surgery itself and he seems kind and reasonable, he may do this for free (my PS does all and any revisions 100% fee the first year after surgery) and in your case with what happened, you'd think he'd want to make his patients happy. I was going to say that for me, I was told bed rest was actually not at all good for you after surgery as you need to keep blood flow to prevent clots and it actually speeds up healing to try to walk every day after surgery.. anyway, my two cents on that but either way, I hope this gets resolved for you and can only imagine the physical and emotional pain of it all :(

I stayed on bed rest two weeks but after a week (and I was very careful walking bent over doing everything I was told) my incisions split wide open and I was in extreme pain that I ended up on a lot more but walking around the house as much as I could. This has caused such emotional distress,… been really a long horrible journey.

I'm so sorry..I wish there was a goo resin why this could have happened to you but I hope you find one one you trust that can hopefully fix this for you. I had pain complications after mine and my pain had to back and do a second surgery to try to help me (an undissolved stitch on a nerve he though so went and reopened me after two months).. I know all about pain (and only recently after 5 months finally have relief)but I was fortunate about my scar not opening up. Know this can and will get resolved if you pursue this.

I'm so sorry this happened to you. I am confused, did you exercise after 2 weeks? I barely could stand up straight yet at 2 weeks.
October 13, 2021
No I didn’t exercise I meant light anyways, I meant start walking /and eventually jogging etc.. of course not an work. But I couldn’t stand up for at least three weeks, I have been in so much pain that only in the last week I’ve been able to handle minor tasks around the house again, the pain I’m in with these open wounds.

I'm so very sorry that you have had to endure so much pain both physically and emotionally. I had my mommy makeover including my tummy tuck on September 30, 2021 and I can't imagine what you're going through. It hurt me just reading your review. My surgeon said no heat or ice on my scar at all. I can't believe that your doctor didn't jump in immediately and help you as everything progressed. He sounds terrible!! I hope that your review will help other potential patients go may seek him out for procedures! God bless you and help you continue to get well.

As the wound separation got worse I was instructed to but heated clothes 2x a day , he said I should soak in a tub as well but two of my family members are RN’s and said absolutely not, it could cause more infection. I will defiantly need to have scar revision now as where it is healing it just looks awful, but I still have the worst parts to heal. Just really makes me sad, I waited and desired this for 19 years after a emergency c-section of my twins, now I will have to get the revision surgery and take time to heal again just to not look like I did it myself at home. More so that I’ve lost months of work and now in such a financial strain it’s wearing horribly on me mentally and emotionally. Thank you for your caring and supportive words. As much as I didn’t want to leave the review I felt i needed to because I would like to have known all this before hand, I did notice another woman posted similar right before me.

I'm so incredibly sorry. You need to report the surgeon to the medical board. He's giving adverse advice on your wound healing. I would hate for this to happen to someone else!

First I am so so sorry that this has happened to you. I know how hard it is to make a decision to have any type of surgery and the expectations not to be with you expect it and especially when you put such high expectations on it and the doctor. But to be honest with you even though your doctor was nice and the office is clean at Cetera your doctor in my opinion and I'm just being honest yes they were complications that happen but from what you wrote here sounds like you got a lot of wrong and bad information and you just did not have a good surgeon and your surgeon did not give you good information I had my tummy tuck before a big trip as well I had it in October and I was going on my birthday trip in February 1 things first anytime attack even though it is cosmetic is a very serious surgery
