Tummy Tuck/umbilical Hernia Repair/lipo
So I finally bit the bullet and scheduled my sugery for February 28th 2020. I’m very excited, yet extremely nervous. I’ve never been under general anastetics, so that’s what actually scares me the most!

Surgery is tomorrow
Not sure if anyone is going to follow this or not but I’ve found looking at Real self and other support groups helpful. I have to be at the hospital at 6am and surgery is at 8am. 4.5 hours was blocked for surgery and the nurse said he typically uses that fill time. I am absolutely anxiety ridden more because of going under general anesthesia. I just want to be ok for my 3 girls and husband. I wasn’t required to do pre op but I definitely did with my primary. Nothing was too out of wack except I had a UTI so I’m on antibiotics for it. I just hope everything goes smoothly!

I had my surgery Friday at 8:30sm! I am so glad I didn’t chicken out. I don’t even remember falling asleep. I just remembering being in recovery. All that is a blur honestly. I didn’t leave the hospital until 5:30pm. The only crappy thing is I’ve puked twice. Probably from the GA. My mouth is so dry I tried to eat some plain toast but that didn’t work out. I’ve been drinking Gatorade and water. Hopefully tomorrow I’ll be better. I haven’t taken any pain pills. I’m proud of that because I hate being on any narcotics. I’m prettt sore but the pain isn’t as horrible as I thought. I’ve been walking around often that actually helps a lot. Can’t sleep for more then an hour at a time it seems which sucks but it is what it is. Glad it’s all done and I can just focus on healing!

I can totally relate to you. I had my surgery on 2/20 and am in recovery mode as well. So far, so good. I still can’t stand up straight but I’m getting there. I also ordered two compression garments to replace the binder. The first week was definitely the hardest but it’s getting much better each day. So glad I did this. It was a gift to myself for my upcoming 50th birthday. Hang in there and good luck!
