Post op week 4

I’m feeling over the moon with my new tummy, I seem to feel a little better each day. I’m now able to do all housework and cooking and feel increasingly comfortable with going for walks, I’ve not tried to exercise as yet but I’m hoping to continue after my 6 week check . My incision is practically healed apart from a few scabs here and there, I’m so pleased with how tidy it is. Honestly only regret I have is that I didn’t do this sooner!!!

Dressing are off!!

Post op day 13 and today I had my dressings taken off, I was so nervous but as always nurse Elaine put my mind at ease. My incision is healing very well and the nurse is very happy with my progress, I no longer need to wear the dressings apart from a little bit on my left had side that I can remove myself tomorrow evening, Its strange but was so worried about my incision exploding open but I’ve been reassured that it definitely won’t. I’m happy about the location of my scar it will definitely be hidden by my underwear,I’m also happy with my new belly button although it’s scabby at the moment I can see that the end result will be lovely, still very swollen but apparently it’s normal. So happy!!

Swell hell

Post op day 11 and no longer need pain relief. I’m able to do most things alone, although being more active has made me swell so bad, I’m reminding myself to take it easy. My compression garment is driving me crazy now too and really can’t wait to be in something more comfortable. All being said I’m happy with my progress and even with the swelling it’s so much better then I had before so super exited to see the end result.
