Twin Mom Who is Confident in Her Own Skin

WORTH IT
I’ve been waiting forever to feel the way I do when I look in the mirror. After having twins and then a third I was not sure that I could ever get my body back. I ate right, worked out and never got the results I craved. Several personal trainers and even physical therapists had told me I would never see the results I wanted due to the damage my body had incurred with my pregnancies. At 30 I had twins and at 5’2” my little body couldn’t hold them full term. I was 130lbs when I got pregnant and ballooned to 210lbs throughout the pregnancy. I suffered from pre-eclampsia and had the twins at 32 weeks after 3 weeks of hospital bed rest. After the trauma of delivery I had shingles and my body was never the same. 2.5 years later I had a third baby and my body ballooned again and I was never able to regain my pre-baby physic. I struggled with the weight loss, but was finally able to get healthy both physically and mentally to where I was ready to look on the outside how I felt on the inside. I started researching tummy tucks and had several consults in the area. Once I met with Dr. Baxter I knew that he was the right physician for me. He was my first consult and after having several others, I asked if I could come back for a repeat consult to ask more questions to make sure I had picked the right surgeon. He agreed and patiently answered all my questions. I scheduled my full tummy tuck and lipo for 6 months after my consult. I was healthy and not only physically prepared but mentally prepared to undergo the surgery. The staff was lovely, answering all my questions and being patient with me as I wanted to know everything and what to expect. The day before I was nervous but still excited for my procedure. Everything I had read prepared me to be down and in recovery for at least 6 weeks but the surgery was flawless. The first few days were tough, no need to sugar coat it, but I recovered well and am thrilled. I followed the post-op directions exactly as the office laid out and was able to see my three children in a school play one week later. It’s been 7 weeks since I’ve had surgery and I’m thankful everyday that I went to Dr. Baxter for this procedure. I feel beautiful. I can’t stop smiling and look on the outside how I feel on the inside. I cannot recommend Dr. Baxter and his staff enough for this procedure.

You look amazing. I’m a mom of twins too. I’m also 5’2 134 pounds. My twins are 3. Went for my first consultation but I was told I can’t pick them up for 8 weeks so I’m gonna wait till they are a bit older. Can’t wait. U look amazing.

I totally understand. My twins are now 10 and my little is 7 so I definitely waited until I knew they didn’t need me as much. I also made sure I had someone to help for 2.5 weeks. So worth it. Good luck!!

You look wonderful! Question, did you have stretchmarks above the belly button? If so, how much was he able to remove? Also did he perform muscle repair?

All my stretch marks were below my belly button so I don’t have them anymore. I did have muscle repair. I’m not sure the amount of separation but I did need to have my muscles zipped up. I hope this helps.

Fellow twin mom who also had HELLP syndrome and spent almost four weeks on hospital bed rest. I was 135 lbs pre pregnancy and somewhere around 215 when I delivered. I’ve been on the fence about getting it done but think I’m finally ready. Ny bladder herniated from my diastasis recti and I’ve been told by two doctors that I need a TT repair it. Your story is my story! Thanks for sharing!!!
