After Tummy Tuck Tattoo

Hi there
So I thought I would add some pictures of my lovely tummy tattoo I had to cover up my TT scar. I left it for a good 2.5years so that I could fully heal before venturing into having it done.

I’m pretty pleased with it. It has made me even more body confident since having this done as my scar, even though it was well healed, still made me a bit self conscious.

Day 31 bladder infection

Ok so for the last few days I've been feeling a bit off and totally and utterly uncomfortably bloated. I just felt ill inside and felt something wasn't quite right.
Then a couple of times I went to the loo and wiped and had some streaks of blood.
Rang my GP surgery. Urine test showed blood and white blood cells.
Given antibiotics called nitrofurantoin which are really strong apparently. Only for 3 days and it should clear up the infection ready for my Tuesdays appt for the ultrasound .
Day 1 of the antibiotics and already I feel the swelling go down and feel much better.

3 weeks post op

So. 2 days ago I went for a wound check/ dressing change.
Dr looked at my little lump and said it was. Seroma and he would go get a needle And try to drain it. Drained 20ml.
I made the silly mistake of looking at it when it went in and got all hot and dizzy and fainted.
Dr then laid me on the couch but couldn't drain any more as I wasn't upright.
So gutted. Went home with my tail between my legs. Annoyed for fainting.
Feel very sore from needle prodding. Still bloated around seroma area.
Plus side though. Reading removed ( tape) no my wound is healing so well that I don't need to have anything on anymore. Just carry on with the corset for 3 more weeks approx.
LOOK at how amazing my scar line and belly button is.

My scar is healing so well isn't it. I'm very pleased.
The dr told me it was a seroma when I went for my dressing change.
I kind of guessed I had one as it was a strange looking odd shaped bulge which stuck out and felt squishy when I pressed it.
Some people say that it feels like a water bed but mine felt solid but fluid like to touch if you know what u mean.
January 20, 2018
hmm I guess I don’t think I have bulge although the MR is tender and a little raised. will you go back to have the rest drained or does he think he got it?

He reckoned I had about 200ml to drain and only got about 20ml before I fainted.
I have to wear my corset compression garment until my next appt on Feb 2nd and if it's not gone down by then he will try and drain it again. I think it is going down slowly.

sounds like sometimes the seroma just gets absorbed

yes. apparently sometimes the body just absorbs the excess fluids. I'm hoping that happens.. keep me posted on yours x.
