Hi, I'm Elka.
44yrs old. 2 children aged 8 and 6.
Two C sections and pregnancies where I gained 4 stone+ I have that awful ugly lower tummy overhang apron which I hate with a passion.
After a couple of years of researching TT procedures and looking at endless pictures of ladies before and after, along with months of yoyo dieting, I've finally reached a weight target I'm happy with and raised the money to go ahead. Oh, I also left my husband 5 months ago and the need to feel attractive and content with my body seems even more important now.
Still scared to death about what I'm apt to put my body through but I know I won't ever be happy till I've bitten the bullet and had it done. I recovered really well from my 2 C sections so I'm hoping it's similar in many ways??!!
I'm hoping to use this site to document and share any feelings I have which will help anyone reading it to maybe make the decision to do it themselves or perhaps Even find someone else so is going through the same procedure at the same time to compare Notes with.

So I had my second consultation with Dr Khan at the Spire in Southampton on Friday 6th oct 2017. Everyone has a 2wk period before you can book in for surgery to give you time to think it over. We have provisionally decided a date for surgery on Monday 30th October. Eeeekkkkkkk ????

So this is me right now.
Sunday 8th October 2017
I am 5ft 8, 44 years old and weigh 15,11.

When I look in the mirror I instantly hate my tummy "bulk " area which starts from right under the boob area which appeared ever since having kids. (Look at my pictures to see what I mean by this).

I think when you have a pregnancy the bump inevitably ends up staring from from high up, at the top of your rib cage and it just stays there afterwards and no amount of exercise seems to shift it so my surgeon has recommended me to have some lipo to reduce this bulk down alongside my TT. Otherwise I would have a nice flat tummy (!!!) and a bulky upper stomach if that makes sense.

I'm adamant I am going to lose that 11lb before my potential TT date on week commencing 30th October. Any right loss beforehand is a good thing apparently so the more off the better. Wish me luck.

I will be adding posts each day as I go along in the lead up to the op and afterwards.

Starting to get slightly nervous now.

I have to go to the hospital for bloods and an mrsa swan on Monday so it's all going to start relying very real from then on.  Had another chat with my surgeon last week to discuss where he was going o do the lipo work so we are all clear on that and the set price.  Onwards and onwards. Nervous but excited.
