Mr Khan, is very professional and experienced. He is a perfectionist! I am so pleased I chose Mr Khan. I am so happy I had breast augmentation. They suit my body perfectly. I would recommend to always go a size bigger but to be honest I know they are right for me. Also I found my surgery completely pain free. I can't thank Mr Khan enough!
From the moment I met Mr Khan, he put me at ease. I didn't even need to meet with another surgeon as I had decided to go with him. I had my TT?, MR and Lipo November 2017. I had to have a little revision in April, which he was only too happy to put right. I am over the moon with my results. He has given me a new lease of life. Can't rate him enough.
Hi my name is Melissa I recently had a bilateral mastopexy at Salisbury district Hospital. I would like to say that I was very apprehensive about the procedure as I've never had an operation before but I need not have worried. I had my first consultation in September and had my operation on 15th of October 2016. After my operation I have had three consultations and I'm going to have one more in three months time. I am very happy with the result and it has only been nine weeks since I've had my operation. It is healing very well and happy with the size and shape. The nurses at the hospital before during and after a very friendly and helpful and made me feel very comfortable and at ease. The Anaesthetists was also very friendly and helpful I saw him just before my operation and he came to see me after the operation when I was in recovery. The whole experience from beginning to end has been very positive and I would highly recommend them to any one.
It has been 14 months since Mr Khan completed a tummy tuck, breast reduction and lipo on myself, aged then 43. The operation, after care and the results were excellent, I still admire my flat stomach in every mirror and can highly recommend using Mr Khan if you were to consider this surgery, or any variation of it. I recently saw my 'before' picture and seeing again the improvement in my physique, my posture and also recognising the improvement to my self esteem has led me to write this review.
Hi, I'm Elka. 44yrs old. 2 children aged 8 and 6. Two C sections and pregnancies where I gained 4 stone+ I have that awful ugly lower tummy overhang apron which I hate with a passion. After a couple of years of researching TT procedures and looking at endless pictures of ladies before and after, along with months of yoyo dieting, I've finally reached a weight target I'm happy with and raised the money to go ahead. Oh, I also left my husband 5 months ago and the need to feel attractive and content with my body seems even more important now. Still scared to death about what I'm apt to put my body through but I know I won't ever be happy till I've bitten the bullet and had it done. I recovered really well from my 2 C sections so I'm hoping it's similar in many ways??!! I'm hoping to use this site to document and share any feelings I have which will help anyone reading it to maybe make the decision to do it themselves or perhaps Even find someone else so is going through the same procedure at the same time to compare Notes with. So I had my second consultation with Dr Khan at the Spire in Southampton on Friday 6th oct 2017. Everyone has a 2wk period before you can book in for surgery to give you time to think it over. We have provisionally decided a date for surgery on Monday 30th October. Eeeekkkkkkk ???? Updated on 8 Oct 2017: So this is me right now. Sunday 8th October 2017 I am 5ft 8, 44 years old and weigh 15,11. When I look in the mirror I instantly hate my tummy "bulk " area which starts from right under the boob area which appeared ever since having kids. (Look at my pictures to see what I mean by this). I think when you have a pregnancy the bump inevitably ends up staring from from high up, at the top of your rib cage and it just stays there afterwards and no amount of exercise seems to shift it so my surgeon has recommended me to have some lipo to reduce this bulk down alongside my TT. Otherwise I would have a nice flat tummy (!!!) and a bulky upper stomach if that makes sense. I'm adamant I am going to lose that 11lb before my potential TT date on week commencing 30th October. Any right loss beforehand is a good thing apparently so the more off the better. Wish me luck. I will be adding posts each day as I go along in the lead up to the op and afterwards. Updated on 6 Dec 2017: Starting to get slightly nervous now. I have to go to the hospital for bloods and an mrsa swan on Monday so it's all going to start relying very real from then on. Had another chat with my surgeon last week to discuss where he was going o do the lipo work so we are all clear on that and the set price. Onwards and onwards. Nervous but excited. Updated on 26 Dec 2017: So, this is really happening. My kids have just gone to say with their dad and I'm all packed up ready for tomorrows adventure. I feel sick. I don't know if it's the Over indulgence of Christmas or jus plain nervousness making me feel this way. I'm guessing it's nerves as I really haven't eaten that much as it feels wrong so close to the op. ???? I've taken my Xmas tree and all decorations and cards down as I know I won't be able to do much when I get home and the mess will just stress me out so it's all gone! The house is immaculate. Again as I know I can't do much housework for a while after so it's all prepped now as much as it can be. Kids bedding and my bedding all fresh, house hoovered from top to bottom. Quick food runs placed on a shelf I can reach without bending down etc Next to do is remove all my nail varnish and my jewellery. The acrylic nails have already been taken off in the week. I feel naked. Also need to wash my hair just in case it's going to be a while before I can do it myself in the shower. Reading people's reviews on here he been a god send in forward planning. Will be adding some more of my body before surgery and measurements etc tomorrow. Updated on 27 Dec 2017: It's finally here. I've been tidying the house up Even more today and pre thinking about what I won't be able to bend down and reach etc Also picked up my rise and recliner chair which someone else posted on here was a godsend for when they got home. I am sat here in my sparkling clean front room now looking at the chair and imagining what sort of pain I will be in after.... Focus- end results! Will post more before pics late before I go down at 6pm. Updated on 28 Dec 2017: So. Checked in at 4pm to my own private room. Mum sat with me to keep me company till going down to theatre. I unpacked my few bits and put them all in the drawers. Around 430 a nurse came in and weighed me, measured my height, went through all medical forms Again. May this time I was absolutely starving and my mouth was so dry. Dr Khan came to see me and go through the consent forms and discuss the process again. Then out came his pen and he went to town drawing my TT lines and lipo lines. Lovely lady anaesthetist Poppy came to see me and checked a few more health conditions, any allergies etc. Time flew by. My hunger completely disappeared and adrenaline started to take over. I got changed into my gown and sexy surgical stockings. Removed all jewellery etc then sat chatting to mum. A theatre guy then came to me at 1755 ish to take me down. So by about 1805 I was laid on the operating trolley. The anaesthetist put my canula in, and the theatre guys put my circulation boots on. They were all so lovely, distracting me by asking me About Christmas, work, holidays and kids etc. One even held my hand and comforted me when I had the canula put in. Totally unexpected but sweet. Before I knew it the Anaesthetist was asking me where my ideal holiday would be and put an oxygen mask on me...... Updated on 28 Dec 2017: Feel amazing. Cannot believe there's barely any pain at all. Tight tummy feeling from the corset I'm wearing and a very hoarse dry mouth despite drinking loads. Looking down at the corset I can already see how flat i look. It looks amazing. Managed a lovely breakfast of two croissants and jam, coffee and a fruit salad. Nurse has been periodically checking my blood pressure, pulse, blood loss pouch and temperature and catheter fill up. Consultant came to see me at about 815 to say the op Went well and that he didn't have to lipo as much fat as he thought (3kg I think he said) and that he had taken 8lb of skin off for the tuck. All been good today apart from when I ate soup for lunch and a prawn jacket. I felt so uncomfortable and bloated for hours after. Be careful to only eat some small portions from now on. I've survived the day on just one morphine dose and the rest has just been paracetamols and ibuprofen. Updated on 29 Dec 2017: So far going all day managing without any oramorph from 0800. By 6pm I was feeling a bit niggly and tight in the lower stomach area. I asked for some oramorph and they gave me a double dose which resulted in an amazing peaceful sleep from 2230-0545. Woke p feeling sprightly and amazingly flat. First thing I did was smooth over my stomach and smile!! ???????? I can't stop feeling it and how flat and amazing it feels. I can now swing my legs off the bed without any twinges and go straight to the loo. I have to walk slowly but am barely hunched over like I expected to be. I've been told Not to stretch right back but to walk as straight as I can and hunch of it hurts but I'm virtually walking in a normal position anyway. I decided to try and sit in a hard chair for breakfast today and it's actually very comfy compared to the soft bed. I am pottering around the room regularly now but do get a bit light headed if I walk faster than usual. My lovely lovely Dr Khan just popped into see me whilst I was as in my chair and said I looked bright and breezy. He's given me even more of a boost saying my side profile is amazing already. Pics added from this morning just after a wee. So so so pleased. Updated on 30 Dec 2017: Thought this fabulous feeling was too good to be true. Feel so so nauseous. Barely any pain from operation areas but I just feel so sick and hot and tired and energy less. I just don't know what to do with myself. I'm up and down, sleeping on and off, grabbing a vomit bowl every few mins. Feel fine in operation areas. Just the odd niggle when I get off the bed or sit down for the loo but this sickness is beyond belief. It's the oramorph apparently that makes you feel like this. It's like a double whammy hangover. Been having paracetamol and ibuprofen and omeprazole to Protect the lining of the stomach. Updated on 30 Dec 2017: Still barely any pain on operation and scarred areas. Had my drain removed so feel a lot more human now. Despite reading so many online reports of the drains being really painful when removed I didn't feel a single thing !! Psyched myself up for agony and I didn't feel a thing. For my first glimpses of down below when the drain stitch was cut out. Can't really see much. Dressing changed on my tummy button area but I couldn't see what was underneath as gauze was in the way. Still v happy with the progress and flatness of tummy despite high up swelling. Updated on 30 Dec 2017: Getting p and off the bed easily. No niggles. Going to the loo without any niggles either. Pics today in my pjs. Just have to stay in till I've had a ???? then I'm allowed to go home. Physio has seen me walk up and down stairs so I'm clear on that front. Updated on 30 Dec 2017: Not sure if I said so far 3kg of lipo fat taken off 8lb of skin from tummy tuck cut off. Updated on 1 Jan 2018: I'm home. Was given a decal suppository at hospital and I kidding I was pooping within 10 mins. I pooped for England. It was a very smelly dark smooth whipped stool which was absolute heaven. I literally felt my tummy deflate even more. Such a good feeling. Nurse gave me my discharge paperwork and med instructions then off I went. Mum came to pick me up. First night at home felt amazing. I have bought one of them electric rising chairs so it makes it easier for getting up and down but I didn't really need to. Was being over cautious. Felt good to potter around and make a cup of water when I liked and mooch around. Making sure I don't do too much snd obviously it's down to me to remember med times now. Keeping one step ahead of medication is the way forward I'm told. So far managing on just ibuprofen and paracetamol. Only advised to see the DHC if it gets really really bad. Updated on 3 Jan 2018: Exactly a week from today I had my tummy tuck and lipo. Today I felt like my tummy button dressing was. Smell and oozing brown gunk. Rang hosp and they said to op into out patients. Was seen within 1.5hrs of the phone call. Amazing. Dressing removed and changed and whilst there the main lower dressing was removed too to save returning for the appt I have in 2 days time to change it. I am astounded by how remarkable the scar line is and how neat and clean the whole area is. Good news. No infection. No open areas. Even both the nurses commented on how amazing it looks for one week post op. Updated on 3 Jan 2018: I don't know about anyone else's experience hi 1 week after sure I am ready to scream and take this thing off forever. I know it's all part of the healing process but jeez is so damn tight and takes my breath away. I mentions it on my out patient appt today and asked if I cold remove it for a couple of ours respite each day. Good news is they said yes. I could even change it to my own Spanx type pants if I liked they said. Phew. Updated on 8 Jan 2018: Just doing a separate little entry on drain removal in case anyone searches this as a topic. I can honestly say that I got myself totally worked up and Had to hold my mums hand when the nurse came to take the drain out after my abdominoplatsy operation. (3 days after I think) I had read so many people's reports that this part was so painful. I literally clenched my mums hand. The nurse said are you ready, just focus on your breathing.... I literally did two big breaths in and out and she was like "done". I couldn't believe it. I felt barely nothing apart from a little sensation like a little minor tug as it came out. No pain at all. I could not believe it. The drainage hole was about 1cm long and they just put a little non stick gauze onto it and plaster on top. Job done. On this pic you can see some Blood leakage on my dressing. My little drain site leaked and had to be changed twice in the 2 days after surgery. Updated on 8 Jan 2018: Ok so the compression garment I was wearing when I came round from surgery was a lovely little black pair of lace edged shorts type thing which were very very tight. Felt amazing when I was laid down or stood up but the sat up slightly or sat upright positions were sooooooo uncomfortable. It literally took my breath away and I felt like I had asthma sometimes. I was almost panting. Taking short breaths now and then. Anyway. After day 6 I think it was when I had my dressing changed they said it was ok to wear my own Spanx type pants in the daytime so long as they gave me adequate tight support. I wore my own Spanx which made me feel amazing. Lot less restrictive and I could breathe freely. Still he out of breath when I walk around but I think that's just recovering from the op generally. All my energy is being used to recover the damaged muscles. So the black garment I woke up in (and was pre measured for at my pre op appt) was a 2xl. I was also given a smaller one for some weeks down the line when swelling subsides although I'm not sure I will ever wear that. I also take my Spanx or compression garment off for an hour or so in the day and just lay on the bed and let it all breathe. Such a wonderful feeling looking down at my flat tummy. ???? Updated on 11 Jan 2018: I've Lia so much of the swelling and almost all of the sensation is back apart from the area directly my beneath the new belly button which is still numb. Soooooo sooooo happy. Getting flatter by the day. Updated on 17 Jan 2018: So. 2 days ago I went for a wound check/ dressing change. Dr looked at my little lump and said it was. Seroma and he would go get a needle And try to drain it. Drained 20ml. I made the silly mistake of looking at it when it went in and got all hot and dizzy and fainted. Dr then laid me on the couch but couldn't drain any more as I wasn't upright. So gutted. Went home with my tail between my legs. Annoyed for fainting. Feel very sore from needle prodding. Still bloated around seroma area. Plus side though. Reading removed ( tape) no my wound is healing so well that I don't need to have anything on anymore. Just carry on with the corset for 3 more weeks approx. LOOK at how amazing my scar line and belly button is. Updated on 27 Jan 2018: Ok so for the last few days I've been feeling a bit off and totally and utterly uncomfortably bloated. I just felt ill inside and felt something wasn't quite right. Then a couple of times I went to the loo and wiped and had some streaks of blood. Rang my GP surgery. Urine test showed blood and white blood cells. Given antibiotics called nitrofurantoin which are really strong apparently. Only for 3 days and it should clear up the infection ready for my Tuesdays appt for the ultrasound . Day 1 of the antibiotics and already I feel the swelling go down and feel much better. Updated on 23 May 2021: Hi there So I thought I would add some pictures of my lovely tummy tattoo I had to cover up my TT scar. I left it for a good 2.5years so that I could fully heal before venturing into having it done. I’m pretty pleased with it. It has made me even more body confident since having this done as my scar, even though it was well healed, still made me a bit self conscious.
Haematomas are a recognised complication. If dealt with quickly then they tend not to have long term issues. Treating open wounds may need a bit more attention to enable good healing, but regular contact with your surgeon should enable this
this looks like an inflamed dog ear. This is a fold of skin that can happen post surgery. It usually disappears itself. If it is inflamed however, it might benefit from being excised Contact your surgeon for advice
Seromas are an accepted complication of a tummytuck. Depending on the type of tummy tuck performed, the incidence may be as high as 5%. If liposuction were performed at the same time then this increases the chance of it happening. Your surgeon can do various things to try and minimise seromas e.g tissue glue, but this should have been discussed with you. Generally if they are not left, then they tend not to influence the overall outcome
Its far too early to judge. Lumpyness is normal post liposuction and will always settle down over time. You need to be patient, continue to wear your garment and consult your surgeon if you have on going concerns
This is very common. The contour abnormality tends to settle down but may take some time. Generally massge tends to help, but always go back to your surgeon if you remain concerned
