WORTH IT
These past few months have flown by. Around 6-8 weeks I was sleeping on my tummy no problem-very little tightness and discomfort. I am so happy with my results! I French tuck every shirt now:) all my clothes for the most part fit great-I’ve given up on some of my overly stretchy jeans and prefer my less stretchy type but I’m still in all my same clothes. Without the muffin-top and baggy shirts floating over my stomach I look like a completely new person. I love getting dressed. I love going swimming with my kids-I’m still rocking a one piece-but I look trim in the waist and chubby most other places:) but I love it! I can’t say enough how much this surgery has changed my life. In these new photos I tried to suck in and then let out my stomach so you can see the belly button more.

1 week later
I know time flies but it seems like this week came and went fast. But when I was in pain time was very slow. It’s strange. I went out to 2 stores today with my mom and all my kids. I managed just fine. Im tired now and going to have my quiet time for a few hours on the couch to rest and recover. I was in the shower today looking down at my body and feet and it was surreal to not have to mush my pannus up in order to see my feet. I can’t believe what this surgery has done for me, I’m feeling so blessed and happy to just love my body. After my 4 kids I kept trying to be proud of my body, but it felt like a prison. Nothing fit right, I never felt sexy, but I was also aware that I was blessed with healthy kids. I was trying to embrace my body-but it just wasn’t working for me. I feel like I got my life back. I love my body! Im still not skinny-but I’m sexy again and I look great in my clothes. Life is good.

You look great- congrats on your journey so far and thanks for posting
Not to be mean but your TT surgeon is terrible. The belly shouldn't look like that
You are crazy! I look amazing:) He is a wonderful surgeon. You shouldn't judge too soon-these pictures still had major swelling.
That person just goes on ppls page and talks crap, they just tried to do it to me
Lol-you are crazy. I look
You look great and I can tell you will heal with a very realistic looking belly button. I’m scheduled for Dec, so excited and nervous for the same reasons you mentioned!

Drains out. I’m crazy happy!
So day 6 post op. The intense pain and discomfort is gone. I’m still stiff and sore but overall it’s very manageable. I can go back to normal home duties and just go slow and take more long breaks. I put on some of my clothes after the drain removal and it’s like a whole new woman trying them on. My tummy is flat(swollen still but way better than I looked before) and I fit pretty much all my jeans/shorts and look better than I ever dreamed. I can’t believe I look like this and I’m only 1 week out! I’m crazy swollen! I’m just so pleased. It’s still me-but tighter and flatter and I just look normal in my own clothes. These pictures are from this morning after my shower, before drains were removed. I will take more updates later. I’m just resting after a big day.

your story is encouraging, you look great!
I’m so glad you think so! Some of my earlier posts were pretty depressing. But I don’t regret anything. I’m glad it’s over, I think the not being able to pee thing was what really made things worse for me-and it’s a rare side effect of surgery. I think most people probably have a decent less intense recovery:)
Yeah that sounds extremely uncomfortable but your almost through the first week! Good for you, I go in in 11 days, nervous but I love following your story thank you for sharing
Congrats!! It really is such an amazing feeling to fit into your clothes without anything hanging over or tucking it in. I am 4 months post op and loving it. I did learn at a physio appointment about massaging the scar once completely healed with a circular motion with bio oil. My scar has lightened so much already.
I’m adding bio oil to my grocery list!
Wow you look great!!! And it’s still so early so I can’t wait to see how everything settles down as the swelling goes away.
I’m sorry to hear about your complications though, that sucks a lot. I’m 3 months out from my surgery and I still struggle with extreme swelling every single day. Gross

I have been following you since day 1! I love your results. I’m not excited about the swelling, but summers almost over so fall/winter clothes are much more forgiving and by next summer you should be pretty much done with all the ups and downs:)
I started my journey a long time ago with just wanting a breast augmentation, but multiple kids later, my body isnt even close to what it used to be even.
I'm glad time is moving fast for you now that you're not in so much pain!
