Round two ER

So I am just being discharged from the hospital YET AGAIN. This time, in NYC. I was feeling a large sense of McJudged for having gone to florida for plastic surgery. Anyway, I was consulted by the plastic surgeon at this Ed and he tried to drain Henry with a syringe. No luck. Now I’m on Keflex for five days (I should have asked for Diflucan bc lord the yeast from all these antibiotics) so yeah. While I like his incision, overall I do not recommend Dr. Goldberg because he let his ego deny the hematoma when he could have just drained it before I left.

Thought I Don’t Regret my Surgery, I Should Have Done More Resea

I will start by saying come at your own risk. I’ve tried to be positive about this and there is positive and negative about my personal experience which I will tell at the end. Let’s start with the overall negatives and positives.Negatives:-primarily communicate via text messages on Google voice-Insists on cash only (though promotes financing and credit on Instagram)-will take your money for services and try to not refund you-long time periods to hear from surgeons (if at all)Positives:-clean office space-staff that speak English-dr Goldberg had great tummy tuck incisionsI came down to Miami from NYC for a tummy tuck with Dr. Goldberg on 9/8/21. I should mention early on that I had my period and it was heavy at the time. The anesthesiologist was great [RS bleep] was welcoming and warm and the three of us (Goldberg, she and I) are all from NYC so it felt pretty homey. Goldberg comes in singing which was nice. Goes over my paperwork I tell him that I have my period and he says it’s fine. When I was cleared by my PCP for this procedure, my hemoglobin was 11.9. He said that was fine and he proceeded to mark me. I kind of figured his marking should have been the first sign of an issue bc it was like three straight lined down my abdomen however he’s a surgeon of 40 years and I’m an anxious first time plastics patient. What the hell do I know? So I let him do his thing and wait to be called to the OR. Surgery went well, I woke up in PACU in heavy discomfort (obviously).I was discharged to my recovery house and I was doing well until day 3. I stopped draining almost completely even though I would milk my drains like OBSESSIVELY to make sure the clots and debris weren’t hindering my healing. I called and tried to get in contact but nothing really stuck. My recovery house was lax about the lack of drainage too but on the morning of 9/11 I was like no I have to go to the ER because something is not right.I went to Kendall baptist Ed for eval and ct confirmed a hematoma. My H&H was 8.9 and 24 so I was held for monitoring in case I needed a transfusion. I also was put on iron. No one intervention for the hematoma was done at the hospital. I had to blow 305 up so bad and I even posted a SOS comment on Instagram to try to get movement but to no avail until finally sept 12th I spoke to EVERYONE.Goldberg asked me to come in when I was discharged which I did and he said “you don’t have a hematoma” he until this day REFUSES to acknowledge that I had a hematoma and obviously didn’t evacuate said hematoma. He didn’t even respond or request to see the test when I told him “CT confirmed the hematoma” and I left FL 10 days after my surgery with drains in place.(I’m 16 days PO and STILL have my drains in place.) When I was in the airport I had wheels accommodations and one of the tubes came out of the bulb.I’m not sure how long it was exposed to air but when I noticed it I immediately went to the bathroom used hand sanitizer to wash off the areas and proceeded to put the tube back together. The RN of the clinic (Millie) has been so helpful and nice she even gave me her number to ask her all questions I need to and I appreciate that. Now my issue is my JP bulb looks NASTY.If you’re still with me, my drainage color is obviously that of a dissolving hematoma. Brown/red old blood color. No foul smell but I do notice build up in my bulbs and I want to flush it so bad but I haven’t found any information on if I should or not.
