How it works
- Our highly-trained Review Moderation team evaluates all reviews before they're published to ensure they're written by people like you and not a member of a doctor's office.
- This multi-step process takes up to 24 hours from review submission to publication.
- Doctors can't pay to have reviews removed or hidden.
- Reviews are only removed at the reviewer's request or if they violate our Terms of Service.

Terrible Experience
I had 2 separate surgeries by Dr. Alderman. If I’d left a review after the first one, I’d have left 4-5 stars like everyone else. Unfortunately, I decided to use her again for my second procedure, which is why I’m leaving only 2 stars. (In hindsight, there were some pretty big red flags, for example: convincing me to increase the size of my implants right before my surgery began, but AFTER the iv sedation had started, despite my emphatic insistence on at all of my consultation visits that I wanted SMALL boobs.... but I unfortunately chose to ignore the warning signs.)
I don’t think Dr Alderman is a terrible surgeon but be forewarned- her bedside manner can quickly shift from “soft spoken and empathetic” to “dismissive and condescending” if you raise any concerns about your results.
During my consultation, I expressed my displeasure with my upper abdominal laxity and I asked which procedure would be best for the upper abdomen area and she recommended a traditional tummy tuck.
Immediately after my surgery I had issues with a small scar that she refused to correct for months. She literally wouldn’t even acknowledge my questions about it at first!
Finally she acknowledged that she heard me but then insisted I wait 6 months before she’d do anything because she felt that I “wouldn’t want the longer scar” and that “I’d get used to it by then”. I tried to be explain to her that I was not remotely concerned about the scars but she wouldn’t hear it.
During that same visit I told her I was disappointed that my upper abdominal laxity wasn’t better... that’s when things really got heated.
She decided to tell me then, after I already had done a regular tummy tuck, that a fleur de lis tummy tuck was the only way my upper abdominal area could be addressed.
I asked her, “why am I just now being told about that option?” She said that she didn’t tell me about it bc “I wouldn’t have wanted the vertical scar”. (Starting to see a theme yet?)
Okay, WTF. Seriously?!!! That choice should’ve been for ME to make!! I never would’ve gotten a traditional tummy tuck if she hadn’t steered me towards it! And I never once said anything negative about having scars!
We argued for a few more minutes, during which time she pointed out other areas I *should’ve* been concerned about, called me “too anxious” and muttered “if you’re gonna have a nervous breakdown...”(I had a witness who heard it too).
Despite all of that, I still came back exactly 6 months later to ask for a revision of the smaller scar, which she begrudgingly agreed to do. Unfortunately for me, she still didn’t listen to me and I now I have to go somewhere else to get it revised, again.
TLDR; Dr Alderman is a capable surgeon and probably not a bad option as long as you don’t mind her making executive decisions about what she thinks looks best for you, regardless of your input. And definitely don’t have anything remotely critical to say to her or you’ll regret it!
