So Worth It!

After 4 pregnancies, 3 C-sections and an up and down battle with my weight in 2018 i started the year at 165 pounds. I was on the verge of diabetes and I just couldn’t stand how I let myself go. Taking care of my kids, my husband and my career was always my priority. I came last. I decided enough is enough. I needed to take care of myself goal to run, work out and eat healthy. So I did! For 3 years I stayed consistent ate fairly healthy, exercised and lost 40 pounds. I never felt healthier or more confident! However, I could never get rid of the muffin top cause by excess skin and my c-section scar tissue. Also my abs could never really get tight because they were separated from the stretching of my pregnancies. I decided to go for a consultation with Dr. Godek who was highly recommended by several friends. His office staff was super friendly, accommodating to me and I felt so comfortable. Then when I met Dr. Godek for the consultation he also made me feel so comfortable and was so confident. I loved the fact that I would be in a surgical center that was board certified. I booked it that day! I pulled trigger! I’m so happy I did. I booked it quickly too so I didn’t have too much time to think. I just wanted to get it over with.
Surgery day came and I was extremely happy with the surgical center. The nurses were friendly, took time before and after my surgery to go over pre-op and post op procedures. Believe it or not the anesthesia part was the part that scared me the most. The anesthesiologist met with me and also went over his pre-op procedure and what I would encounter after the surgery for the next few days. Surgery was very successful and so far I am happy with the results. I have swelling in the belly are but am making sure that I don’t do anything that jeopardizes the results. Staying off my feet as much as possible, which is super hard because I’m such an active person. I have the kids take out the trash and lift anything heavy for me. I binge watched 4 Netflix series this week! Can’t wait to see the results in 3-6 months. Here are some of my pre-op and post op pics… My recommendation is to try and get fit before doing the surgery, you will have the best results and a much easier recovery. Best of luck to you who go through the process!

Here are some Post Op photos. Day 2 and after 1 Week. My belly is still swollen but that is supposed to take time to reduce. The tube was removed 1 week after the surgery. It didn't hurt when they removed it, but it burned like crazy, but only lasted a few seconds. Can't wait to share next weeks photos.

This is my 10 week update. My belly is still sore, and swollen in the lower section but looking really good. Doctor Godek says the swelling can take 8-12 months to go away. Will send some more photos as time goes by
