After 4 pregnancies, 3 C-sections and an up and down battle with my weight in 2018 i started the year at 165 pounds. I was on the verge of diabetes and I just couldn’t stand how I let myself go. Taking care of my kids, my husband and my career was always my priority. I came last. I decided enough is enough. I needed to take care of myself goal to run, work out and eat healthy. So I did! For 3 years I stayed consistent ate fairly healthy, exercised and lost 40 pounds. I never felt healthier or more confident! However, I could never get rid of the muffin top cause by excess skin and my c-section scar tissue. Also my abs could never really get tight because they were separated from the stretching of my pregnancies. I decided to go for a consultation with Dr. Godek who was highly recommended by several friends. His office staff was super friendly, accommodating to me and I felt so comfortable. Then when I met Dr. Godek for the consultation he also made me feel so comfortable and was so confident. I loved the fact that I would be in a surgical center that was board certified. I booked it that day! I pulled trigger! I’m so happy I did. I booked it quickly too so I didn’t have too much time to think. I just wanted to get it over with. Surgery day came and I was extremely happy with the surgical center. The nurses were friendly, took time before and after my surgery to go over pre-op and post op procedures. Believe it or not the anesthesia part was the part that scared me the most. The anesthesiologist met with me and also went over his pre-op procedure and what I would encounter after the surgery for the next few days. Surgery was very successful and so far I am happy with the results. I have swelling in the belly are but am making sure that I don’t do anything that jeopardizes the results. Staying off my feet as much as possible, which is super hard because I’m such an active person. I have the kids take out the trash and lift anything heavy for me. I binge watched 4 Netflix series this week! Can’t wait to see the results in 3-6 months. Here are some of my pre-op and post op pics… My recommendation is to try and get fit before doing the surgery, you will have the best results and a much easier recovery. Best of luck to you who go through the process! Updated on 1 Dec 2021: Here are some Post Op photos. Day 2 and after 1 Week. My belly is still swollen but that is supposed to take time to reduce. The tube was removed 1 week after the surgery. It didn't hurt when they removed it, but it burned like crazy, but only lasted a few seconds. Can't wait to share next weeks photos. Updated on 7 Feb 2022: This is my 10 week update. My belly is still sore, and swollen in the lower section but looking really good. Doctor Godek says the swelling can take 8-12 months to go away. Will send some more photos as time goes by
The office staff and Dr. Godek are wonderful. Everything was great from ease of making an appointment to making me feel calm and comfortable on surgery day. I have put off breast augmentation for years out of fear that I would get the results I was hoping for but I could not be any happier with my results.
I’ve wanted to get a breast augmentation since I was a teenager. At 28 years old I finally went through with it yesterday and I couldn’t be happier. I already feel more like myself, more feminine looking, almost as if this is the body I was supposed to have all along. Dr. Godek and his staff are amazing. I have had two previous consultations with other surgeons in the past but it never felt “right” to me. I was referred to Dr. Godek by a friend who had recently went to him for the same procedure. I went to his office in Toms River which is conveniently located in the same building as the surgery center that he operates out of. Since my initial consultation everything has been smooth sailing. I even missed my original pre-op appointment because I hurt my back and needed to go see my Primary Care doctor. They were very understanding and I wasn’t charged a fee for missing my appointment without cancelling it ahead of time. I was very nervous about the anesthesia as I have never been put under before but everyone was so nice and made me feel so comfortable. Dr. Godek’s bedside manner is wonderful, pleasant, and patient. Even my mom loves him already! During my consultation I was given 3D imaging of what I should expect to look like after surgery, and even 1 day post-op I can already tell that I look even better than anticipated. I stayed awake once I got home from the surgery center and felt great, all things considered So far I have had no real pain, just minor discomfort and tightness/swelling. I just got home from my initial post-op appointment where the bandage was removed and I am ecstatic with the outcome, which I am told will only improve over the next month or so as they settle. I was provided with 2 compression bras (one black one white) to wear for the next 4 weeks or so which is awesome! To anyone considering this procedure I highly highly HIGHLY recommend Dr. Godek. You will not be disappointed! Just follow all of the instructions you are given and make sure you get all your housework/laundry/food shopping done ahead of time and you will be fine.
This is my 3rd plastic surgery with Dr Godek (or with anyone for that matter). BA in 2012, BA revision in early 2018 (my husband and I popped an implant....dont ask LOL), and my tummy tuck was on June 7th 2018. Firstly, I couldn't be happier with my doctor, his office, and his staff. Dr G and his staff go above and beyond for their clients. I'm a VERY anxious person. I hate not being in control and, if you're like me, you understand that going under anesthesia is relinquishing all control. I had so many questions leading up to EVERY surgery and was NEVER made to feel like I was a burden. TBC Updated on 27 Dec 2018: Scars are so very minimal and I am so happy with the way I am healing. I was told that I am slightly swollen still so my doctor prescribed me 3 more Vasershape Sessions. I've been using hydrocortisone cream and vitamin E during my massages which I dont do as often as I should. I am told that massaging is the best way to help the scar tissue dissipate and, from everything I've done, I agree. My husband even got it into his head to use a BOB (com'n ladies) to aid in our massages and I noticed an immediate difference in the height of my scar line after just one time. Sounds weird but hey it worked LOL Updated on 25 Jul 2019: It's now 13 months since I had my surgery and my self confidence is amazing. I look great and feel even better. My entire experience is, as always, fantastic due to Dr Godek and his staff. Very happy with my results and look forward to my scar healing more over time. Updated on 25 Jul 2019: FORGOT PICS! It's now 13 months since I had my surgery and my self confidence is amazing. I look great and feel even better. My entire experience is, as always, fantastic due to Dr Godek and his staff. I've been waiting 17 years to have breast augmentation. I had my daughter in April of 2000 and did not breast feed, so after the milk left so did my boobs and hated them since. Then after much research and my own due diligence i decided to go with Dr. Godek. I had my surgery Sept 25th of 2017 and they couldn't be more perfect. His staff is amazing his office is very nice and he is amazing. I look forward to my eventual tummy tuck. I wouldn't go to anyone else. I absolutely love them.
I have never been skinny, but even when I was a size 6 in pants, my face was still very chubby. My side profile was absolutely terrible and embarrassing. I had thought about submental liposuction but knew I couldn't afford it, so I planned to do it after graduation. Then during a class group project, the professor had us watch the video he had taken of us during the project. When I saw my face, I nearly cried. I couldn't believe how heavy it made me look. That's when I researched Kybella. I was skeptical at first, but I have never spent better money. My face has completely transformed. My entire look has completely transformed. I have only done two injections too!!! I am going for a third in September and possibly a fourth a few months later, once all the swelling has gone down completely. Updated on 17 Apr 2018: I had a chubby face and horrible side profile no matter why weight and size I was at. Sure, it wasn’t AS bad when I was a size 6 versus a size 16, but it was always pretty terrible. My breaking point was when a professor recorded us doing a group project (to observe our leadership/team skills) and made us watch it. When I saw my side profile, I was horrified. I remember nearly crying. I immediately made an appointment with Dr. Christopher Godek. I’m not sure how I came to even look at Kybella instead of other similar procedures, but the submental liposuction would have been $6,000 - and I would’ve had to pay it up front - and the Kybella was $1,200/treatment and I could slowly pay for for it each time I received another treatment. Being an extremely poor (and at this point, desperate) college student, I went with the Kybella because I knew I couldn’t wait however long it would take for me to save up $6,000. Here we are nearly a year and 4 treatments later and may I say, my confidence is at a point it’s never been before. It is recommended you do each treatment 4-8 weeks apart but my sister passed at the end of the summer so my third and fourth treatments were postponed for a few months. I am planning on getting a fifth treatment sometime this summer. Kybella - and Dr. Godek and his AMAZINGGGG team - literally saved my life. I used to photoshop ALL my photos to slim my face a little bit. Not so much that it was entirely noticeable, but between angling the camera a certain way and slimming my face a bit, my photos didn’t even look like me. Now, I can take pictures from any angle and not photoshop my face thinner. I have defined cheek bones, a relatively chiseled chin (for me anyway), and no more rooster chin. I am going to post some photos for everyone to see. If this review/post motivates even one single person to book a Kybella treatment, it was worth typing this up and finding photos. I have a small blog type thing on Instagram and I post photos of my Kybella results and I’ve had A LOT of people contact me about it. More than not, I was able to convince them to take the plunge and take back their confidence. Please feel free to ask me ANY questions about Kybella or my out of this world surgeon, Dr. Godek. You can contact me on here or on my Instagram account @ honeydoblog
I had Breast Augmentation (implants) done by Dr Godek a little over 4 years ago and I am so happy with the results. Everything from the 1st consultation to my most recent follow up had been a great experience. I had so many questions before my surgery as I was very nervous and Dr Godek's staff (Esp. Catherine!) were always so helpful and understanding. The day of my surgery I was very worried and everyone was so kind and compassionate that I felt much better knowing I was in good hands. I had a problem during my healing where my incisions became inflammed due to a sensitivity to one of the ointments I had used. I sent pictures to the office and was seen the SAME day to ensure the problem resolved and make sure I was comfortable. Now, years later my husband and I have gone on numerous vacations to topless resorts and I have to convince others that my chest had been "artificially enhanced" :) Ive had many people demand to see my incisions to prove I am telling the truth. The "problem" with that is that I have nearly NO scar from my surgery. You can barely see the lines even in brivht light! I could not have made a better choice than the caring, knowledgeable and experienced team at Dr Godek's office. I am thrilled with every aspect of my care.
After losing a large amount of weight which resulted in very saggy buttocks, I did extensive research in order to find a top-notch plastic surgeon. In the spring of 2008, I visited Dr. Godek’s office for a consult thinking that I needed a body lift. Dr. Godek patiently listened to me and understood all of my concerns. He was very straightforward with me and explained that a body lift would not give me the result I was aiming for, but rather a lower buttock lift would produce the desired result. Dr. Godek then described the procedure in detail, and even showed me computer images of what my result would closely resemble upon completion. He did not just go ahead and do what I thought should be done. He wanted me to be happy with the outcome. I can honestly say that the end result exceeded my expectations. After the procedure, I only needed Tylenol to manage what little pain I experienced, and the best part is that the scarring is extremely neat and practically invisible. In May of 2015, it was time to address the bulging, droopy skin on my thighs and the insides of my knees. Looking in the mirror, I was aware that this would be a large undertaking. Considering the exceptional experience and results that I previously had with Dr. Godek and his staff 7 years earlier, I confidently knew where I needed to go for help. Again, Dr. Godek listened to my concerns, formulated a 3-stage strategy in order to achieve my goal and showed me computer images of the projected results. I was able to manage the pain from all 3 surgeries with Tylenol. As I write this, I am about 9 weeks post-op from the third and final stage, and my results are incredible. My incisions are neat, well placed and healing beautifully. I cannot say enough about my awesome experiences with Dr. Godek and his staff. Totally professional from the moment I walked through the door and was greeted by Donna at the reception desk. Dr. Godek always listened to and answered each and every one of my many questions and created smart and safe plans to help me achieve my personal goals. At my pre-op visits, I was given a bound booklet containing important information such as my surgery date, a list of things to do and to avoid in preparation for surgery, a description of my surgery, an overview of the surgery center procedures and post-operative care instructions. I followed all of these instructions to the letter and have had no complications. I have visited Dr. Godek’s office for many post-op visits to monitor my progress. Throughout the entire process, I was never afraid or ashamed to contact the Personal Enhancement Center. Catherine (my patient Coordinator), Nathalie (Dr. Godek’s Physician’s Assistant), Rosemary and Katie (Dr. Godek’s nurses), Jeff (Dr. Godek’s Office Manager) and Michelle were always available in person, by telephone or email to answer my questions. In addition to post-op visits, my case included appointments at Bella Derma Medi Spa. The spa has a very relaxing atmosphere. My interactions at the spa with Kelly, Jan, Jill and Annette were pleasant, and I always looked forward to my appointments. My surgeries were performed at the Toms River Surgery Center. The staff is excellent. The nurses were attentive and cared about my comfort. Before every surgery I mentioned that I have small veins, and I am a “hard stick”, so each time they summoned “the best” to begin my IV. Mission Accomplished – My IV was always started on the first try! After that, I could relax…surgery was a piece of cake! Upon discharge I was given very clear aftercare instructions and contact info, in case of any problems. A few hours after I arrived home from all of my surgeries, I received a personal telephone call from Dr. Godek inquiring about my status, even though my post-op appointments were the very next day. On an unrelated note - In the time between my stage 2 and stage 3 surgeries, I had a hysterectomy. Although Dr. Godek did not perform this procedure, I was very impressed and touched that he had his nurse, Rosemary, call me a few days after the surgery to check in and see how I was doing. Total class. With his skilled hands and artistic vision, Dr. Godek has successfully found the body that has been hiding inside me for many years and was not able to reveal itself despite being nurtured with proper diet and exercise. At the same time, I was very fortunate to have found an extraordinary surgeon in Dr. Godek. Updated on 29 Jul 2016:
First of all..Dr. Godek…Donna at the front desk…all the staff in the back and even Annette at the Spa…each one could not have been nicer and so helpful. No question was to "stupid." The procedure itself was so much easier and less frightening than I could have imagined. I barely needed any pain medication. It has been two weeks and the swelling is going down and I can see that I am so glad I chose Dr. Godek!
Dr. Godek just did my 4th breast augmentation surgery and the results are incredible! I have had four different sets, by four differnt Plastic Surgeons that all healed improperly, causing everything from downright deformity, to breasts that were rock hard and immovable. I could see the results immediately, as I could with all the others before, but with them, I was totally unsatisfied (and I am not a picky gal). I just wanted to have breasts I wasnt ashamed of, and Dr. Godek gave me just that! His office staff and he are incredibly warm, upbeat, and informative. Don't even think about going to another Plastic Surgeon in NJ. He is an artist, and worth every dime!
