A Slice and Dice Place

In my initial interview, Dr Jungenberg's assistant Kim, who presents as very charming initially, told me that I would be fine going to an event a week and a half after my tummy tuck surgery.
I booked a room at the Royal York for my scheduled 9:30 am surgery. At approximately 8 am of the day of my surgery, Kim called me frantically saying that the client previous to me had to rebook and basically to get down to the operating area asap! I was nervous and she was..not being so very charming at all anymore! She acted as though *I* had done something wrong when I had not. Hardly my fault that the client scheduled to go before me was late!
I was already nervous and that made it worse as did Dr. Jugenberg, a cold, unpleasant and frankly, creepy man, taking *a lot* of photographs and ordering me to pose in various ways while I was completely naked, right before going into the OR.
"Lift your arms, spread your legs, turn around, bend over, touch your toes!" I want to mention again at this point that I was having a *tummy tuck*. There was no reason to get pictures of me from behind and not even ask if I was ok with him taking pictures of me naked at all!
When he noticed that I was uncomfortable with the whole thing he asked if I had taken the tranquilizer they had given me, which I had.
The surgery itself was ok except that I was still half asleep when they hauled me out because they had another surgery to perform.
The recovery period was EXTREMELY painful and took a couple of months. At a follow-up appointment, I spoke with another client in the waiting room. She had had a breast augmentation and had also been told that she would be ready to attend a social event in a few days.
Kim was sitting right there and laughed and said, "Oh yeah, I'll say anything to make a sale."
I do not recommend Dr. Jungenberg or his phony saleswoman.
The results were-- ok...the scar was larger than necessary, as a couple more qualified cosmetic surgeons informed me and he didn't do the best job with reconstructing the belly button.
Go elsewhere.

It's normal to take before pictures as they use them while in the OR and doing your surgery. If you were having lipo done with your TT that to me would explain the reasoning for front and back photos. Some people go to fancy dinners and/or events the same evening/week of having BA. Would I do it? Probably not bc I had a BL/BA and wanted to rest/heal. Some TT gals are up and about within a few /days/weeks while others later. I think it depends how much work you've had. Everyone heals different. Sorry you had a bad experience. I think adding before and after photos would be very helpful for anyone researching. Plus it helps people see where you started and ended. I do find some offices are more comfortable than others. Thank you for sharing your journey with us on RS. Take care and happy continued healing dear.
I think I can agree with spunkcow's comment, I will say tho that before my surgery I was extremely nervous and scared and happy and everything u could think of and the LAST thing I needed was added stress in regards to the process especially hen u have done everything that was asked of And more. My doctor was amazing but the front desk girl was a little lost but very nice HOWEVER I was on edge the whole week before so to be stressed the day of had to have made it very scary for u. I hope ur doing well now and hope your results will get better....
I actually do not have before and after photos but the job itself was quite good other than a scar that was larger than it needed to be according to a couple of other cosmetic surgeons I spoke to, one of whom revised it and made it less prominent. My issue was with the way I was treated on the day of the surgery. And I had no lipo done or a breast augmentation...so there was no reason for the full-length photos or any bending down and touching my toes.
I have had surgeries before so I know that it is common to have before and after photos done but I have never felt invaded in the way I did by Dr Jungenberg.

I just did a search of his reviews and came up with this! I had no idea about this and I am not part of any potential class action lawsuit. But this is absolutely something that anyone considering getting surgery from the man should know about.

When I googled "Dr Martin Jungenberg investigation", a whole slew of newspaper articles regarding his unauthorized use of cameras came up!

So I stand by my original comment--go elsewhere.
I’m sorry this happened to you, I kinda feel same I had a breast augmentation with them last Friday which is a week now..
Hope your doing well I just wish I saw your review before I went there.
I wish I saw this review before my BA
