Great experience - very happy with the results

Had a wonderful experience. Came in for Botox and a bit of filler. Staff were professional, pleasant and friendly. Fully and clearly addressed my many questions, made me feel very comfortable, and performed the procedure with care. Most importantly, I am very happy with the results as well. Will absolutely be back.

I still have a long way to go as I feel it cuz every day is different yesterday I felt much better I didn’t really have any pain just pressure on my chest today is not that lucky also my left side is bigger than my right but my doctor says that’s okay it’s only because it’s swollen. Day 4 Post Op! I got 360cc filled to 390cc saline implants

After 15 plus years of wanting my boobs done, I finally had my breast augmentation this past week! I don’t regret my decision at all. I was extremely flat before surgery. I wanted a natural result. I got 360cc filled to 390cc saline implants. I had to undergo some tissue removal for a more natural result and the incisions were made through my nipples. After surgery I woke up feeling a bit nauseous. Some more nausea moving from the wheelchair to the car and then car into my house but it didn’t last long. I have felt no pain and haven’t even taken any of my pain meds! I felt some mild discomfort the first night. I had a cramp in my ribs but I think it was from sleeping on an incline. Also, when I took my surgical bra off the first and second day (only to breathe for a few minutes) I felt super nauseous and light headed but it went away. I think it was from the blood flowing? Not sure. Since then I’ve been doing really well and have just been taking it easy and not doing much moving around. Currently they are swollen and I have bruising. I’m not worried about them looking weird right now because I know as each week passes they will begin to look better and better! Can’t wait for them to “drop and fluff” Updated on 2 Jun 2021: Tomorrow I go in for my post op and have my bandages changed. I will begin my breast massages as well. Can’t wait for them to “drop and fluff”! Every day they just get less swollen and look less bruised. Updated on 4 Jun 2021: I did a ton of research and looking around and Dr. Jugenburg is THE surgeon to go to for a breast augmentation. I trusted his expertise and although he said my case would be a challenge, I had faith that he would do an amazing job... and he did! I’m super happy with my decision. Thank you Dr. Jugenburg! Updated on 5 Jun 2021: I’m 11 days post op, my boobs are becoming less swollen as the days pass. I had my bandages changed and now just have the two bandages over my incisions only. They aren’t sitting high so I was told I didn’t need to do much massages to them. Now that they are becoming less swollen I think I’m beginning to have what they call “boob greed” and sort of wish I went the biggest that I could go without it looking unnatural... but it’s still early so once they drop and fluff I’m sure I’ll feel differently! After all, I did go from having absolutely nothing! Time will tell. Updated on 15 Jun 2021: Today I got to remove my bandages! I’m now 3 weeks post op and I’m feeling good. I’m back to doing most normal day to day activities. Sometimes I go to open a door or pull a handle and feel the muscle move so I’m extra cautious now when doing things to ensure that doesn’t happen. Can’t wait for the 6 week mark so I can start working out again. Hoping I’ll get more under boob with time and have more of a tear drop shape. Gotta trust the process! Updated on 10 Jul 2022: It’s been just over a year since getting my Implants. I really love them. The only thing is that my right breast the implant didn’t drop as well as the left side and the shape isn’t as I hoped from the side view for my right breast. Also for a few weeks now I’ve had this red mark under my right breast and it’s making me concerned. Hoping that it’s not related to the implant and that the shape doesn’t mean the implant has been flipped. Hoping for some help on here!

BBL, Lipo 360 and Chin Lipo with Dr Six

I went for my consult with nurse Kim last week, July 31 2018. She was wonderful and we went over everything I am having done. I booked my date for January 16, 2019 for lipo 360 and a BBL. I originally wanted end of October/November so I am on the waiting list for those times as well. Does anyone have any advice for my surgery with Dr 6? Any pros/cons to him in particular? Has anyone had bad results or unhappy with their results? Updated on 4 Jan 2019: I just finished my 1 week follow up from my BBL, Lipo 360 and Chin Lipo with Dr Six which I had on December 27, 2018. I have to say I was nervous right before my surgery because I read some reviews and have spoken to previous patients about some of the nurses having “bad attitudes” or being “rude” during your pre and post ops. I honestly don’t have 1 single bad thing to say about any of them. My consult was with Kim back in June/July and she was amazing. My pre op nurse was Aliya who was a sweetheart. In the operating room I had Victoria who made me feel so comfortable and calm. Immediately after the surgery in the recovery room I had Sarah who was AMAZING (I honestly wish I could have brought her home with me for the week to take care of me more lol). Then I had Aliya again the next morning and she was a sweetheart again. I had my recovery over New Year’s Eve and New Years Day but even STILL these wonderful nurses answered my emails (specifically Jessica and Lilla) if I was worried about something or had questions - regardless of what time or the fact that it was a holiday (this is HUGE for recovery and I appreciate Jessica and Lilla replying to me after hours). Then today I had Lilla for my follow up appointment and she was wonderful! I was so nervous about taking out my pump and she made me feel so comfortable and took her time to walk me through it. I know I’m speaking a lot about the nurses but honestly once you go through it, you will see how much it matters to have amazing nurses and staff in the clinic. They spend most of the time with you so it’s vital - and I can’t praise these beautiful ladies enough. And of course, the real “MVP” through all of this is Dr Six himself. I met with him the day of my surgery and he was so sweet and so knowledgeable. He explained to me the realistic results I would get and what he would try his best to achieve based on my body type. I already had a bit of a realistic expectation because of watching his Snapchat and instagram but it was great to hear a personal and tailored response for me. He was in the operating room also speaking to me right before I went “under” lol which is actually quite rare for plastic surgeons - they usually come in after your asleep. Then a few days after my surgery on NEW YEARS DAY (a holiday) he replied to a private question on Instagram! I sent him a picture of my drain because I was worried it looked red and he assured me it was normal. Then I met with him again today and he was fabulous again. He is very sweet, knowledgeable, straight to the point and did not make me feel rushed or anything at all. I can’t say much about my results right now because I am still so swollen and only 1 week post op but from the general look of things I think I am going to be very happy. My next follow up is on January 10 and I am looking forward to seeing him and his amazing nurses again. Thank you to Dr Six and all of his staff for an amazing experience so far!!

Arm Lift

love my arms!!!! - Toronto, ON

Dr Jugenburg, It has been two months since my surgery at the Toronto Cosmetic Surgery Institute. It’s hard to find the words to show my appreciation to Dr Jugenburg and his incredible team. I am a 65 year old nurse practitioner; my age and career set me on a path to find the best plastic surgeon to help me with my problem. For the past 14 years I have covered my arms even when at home. I had bat wings, loose hanging skin under my arms, and unsightly cellulite and “crepe-y” skin over the bicep areas. So I had a triple cosmetic whammy. I have been researching and consulting with plastic surgeons to see who could help me with all three concerns. I never found anyone who felt they could manage all of my areas of concern, with any degree of acceptable satisfaction. Then I found Dr Jugenburg. I knew after my consult that I had finally found the right person and team for this surgery. This has been one of the easiest things I have ever done. I arrived on my surgical date. I was greeted by the staff who began preparing me for surgery. The constant reassurance and care was remarkable. The state of the art OR made me relax even more and I was ready to go. I knew as soon as I woke up in recovery that my arms were half the size they had been. I spent the night in the Royal York hotel and was reassessed the following week. Throughout my recovery the incredible team of professionals were a phone call away. Now 2 months later I almost have the arms I had in my 30s. My arms are smaller, firmer, the cellulite skin is gone and I can actually see some of my muscles again. I still have days where I can’t believe Im at this stage of recovery and have my arms back. I am so grateful. The first time I put on a sleeveless dress in 14 years, I cried! Thank you Dr Jugenburg, the nursing team, and entire staff. You have given me a gift no one else could. To prepare myself for surfer I did basically as I was told. I also lost weight and was at my ideal weight on my surgery date. I went on a diet - higher protein, higher fat - cutting out sugar and added salt. Post op I did as told. I wore my compression garments. I made sure I had 4 different types and changed them up to keep my arms comfortable and my skin from irritation. My closing words would be to comply to the pre and post op instruction and try not to deviate without checking with the nursing team and the clinic. Honestly do as you say, and set you sights on a great result. Thank you Dr Jugenburg and the entire staff of the Toronto Cosmetic Surgery Institute.

Lipo 360

Poor follow-up

I had been wanting to get lipo for a while and after doing lots of research, I decided to get my lipo360 done at this place. I was getting quick responses to my emails leading up to the surgery and the surgery itself was good. However, their post-op care leaves much to be desired, especially if you're from out of town. After my surgery, the response speed definitely slowed down. I had to send an email twice and wait a week to get a response. The immediate post-op period was scary for me because of so much pain, swelling, and not really knowing what to expect. I felt like I had barely any support from them. No one checked to make sure my sutures and drain had come out at the appropriate times. It's been 7 months since my surgery and I have not heard a single thing from them since post-op week 3, and that was when they replied a message I had sent over a week earlier. Also, from the first time I reached out to them while doing my research, I made it clear that I was from out of town but it appeared no one was really paying attention to that. They gave me the go-ahead to fly home 3 days post-op but booked my 1 week follow-up in-person at their clinic. I asked if my appointment could be done virtually but they just canceled it and asked me to reach out to their nurses if I had any concerns. Other than my in-person appointment 2 days post-op, I have not had any follow-up till date. Not virtually, not via phone, and not via email. It's quite disappointing.

Breast Lift with Implants

Consultation review: not nearly informative enough & felt very uncomfortable

So, I just want to start by saying this is a honest genuine review of my experience. I don't usually write reviews, but with something as big as surgery on your body, I felt it was important to share. I have been interested in getting a breast implants, and possibly a lift - but I wasn't decided which was best or right for me. I searched around and started by booking two consultations with different offices. Since Dr. Martin Jugenburg is a well-known surgeon in Toronto, and often shares his work on social media, I felt like I should book with him and had high hopes. First of all, his consolation fee is $200 whereas some other offices charge $100-$200 (totally fine, its all apart of it). Expect - I was scheduled to meet with the Nurse, not a surgeon at all. To be honest, I felt like this was a bit of a rip off. after all, I was paying for the professional opinion of the surgeon I would end up paying about $20,000 to operate on my body. So I decided to go with the flow and just see how it goes - maybe it would go better than I thought and I would leave feeling confident. I ended up meeting with Nurse Kim. She was a very sweet person, I could tell. Although I felt pretty disappointed and confused when she started raving about saline when I had mentioned I was interested in silicone implants. She told me her daughter has them and they're the best when getting a lift, yada yada. Once I mentioned again - no, I really want silicone, it then seemed like she changed the direction of the conversation to debate silicone vs saline. I feel like this took up a lot of time and I ended up not being able to continue on from it. They then gave me implants to try on. I showed Inspo pictures and they gave me 415 & 450cc silicone implants. Not once did they explain anything about my options to have implants vs implants & a lift. They never once explained what my chest would look like with implants under, or above the muscle, OR what the RIGHT sizing would be for my personal measurements etc. (I have one breast that sits lower than the other, so I would benefit from having one implant slightly larger if it creates better symmetry)*information a different surgeon provided SO, I left and felt excited that I got to try on sizers and because it was the first step in getting closer to having my surgery, but I also felt more confused than before. I felt like I was just told I can have whatever I want and they will happily take my money. I didn't feel like this was a personal consult at all. I feel like I just walked into a implant sales store, if anything. This made me feel very uncomfortable, and disappointed that I spent $200 on THAT. I ended up continuing with my next consult later in the week. I can not tell you how different these appointments were. First of all, I was scheduled to meet the surgeon that would be operating on me. He started by asking me what my preferences were and how I felt about my goals. He explained everything about implants from A-Z without stating his own personal preference (this took the pressure off me and allowed me to know the facts solely and make a decision on what I like best). He also explained what my options were in terms of Implants, or Implants and a lift. He showed me sizing charts and explained the measurements of my chest and what the right implant size would be. He went into details about different incisions there are for a breast lift, what one would be beneficial for me, and he also discussed everything about how that procedure would go. Half way through this appointment, I decided that this was the surgeon for me. He was informative, courteous and obviously very skilled. That's what I want when I'm paying someone $20,000.00 to cut me open. Bottom line, I suggest for everyone to book multiple consults and know the difference. Also, read reviews because after having my consults, I noticed horror stories from this clinic.

Tummy Tuck

Polite804137

A Slice and Dice Place

In my initial interview, Dr Jungenberg's assistant Kim, who presents as very charming initially, told me that I would be fine going to an event a week and a half after my tummy tuck surgery. I booked a room at the Royal York for my scheduled 9:30 am surgery. At approximately 8 am of the day of my surgery, Kim called me frantically saying that the client previous to me had to rebook and basically to get down to the operating area asap! I was nervous and she was..not being so very charming at all anymore! She acted as though *I* had done something wrong when I had not. Hardly my fault that the client scheduled to go before me was late! I was already nervous and that made it worse as did Dr. Jugenberg, a cold, unpleasant and frankly, creepy man, taking *a lot* of photographs and ordering me to pose in various ways while I was completely naked, right before going into the OR. "Lift your arms, spread your legs, turn around, bend over, touch your toes!" I want to mention again at this point that I was having a *tummy tuck*. There was no reason to get pictures of me from behind and not even ask if I was ok with him taking pictures of me naked at all! When he noticed that I was uncomfortable with the whole thing he asked if I had taken the tranquilizer they had given me, which I had. The surgery itself was ok except that I was still half asleep when they hauled me out because they had another surgery to perform. The recovery period was EXTREMELY painful and took a couple of months. At a follow-up appointment, I spoke with another client in the waiting room. She had had a breast augmentation and had also been told that she would be ready to attend a social event in a few days. Kim was sitting right there and laughed and said, "Oh yeah, I'll say anything to make a sale." I do not recommend Dr. Jungenberg or his phony saleswoman. The results were-- ok...the scar was larger than necessary, as a couple more qualified cosmetic surgeons informed me and he didn't do the best job with reconstructing the belly button. Go elsewhere.
