Revision Abdominoplasty/Tummy Tuck

WORTH IT
Motivation was that my original abdominoplasty surgeon was going to revise me & we were planning the procedure when he passed suddenly. To say I was devastated is an understatement.
Suddenly I was on the journey of finding a new plastic surgeon, something I never thought I'd have to do & dreaded.
I had irregularities in my scar with dog ears & puckering I wasn't happy with and the scar was very uneven, the scar came up much higher on one hip than the other.

More to it!

This went up before I was done, so here is the rest of the story.
Dr Rieger is kind. He listened. I immediately felt comfortable and at ease with him and his staff. The office has a good feel/vibe and the warmth and caring felt is genuine. (Shout out to Angie & Nas—you ladies rock!)
He explained how he could improve the scar and make it more symmetrical while removing the dog ears. It would be some work but he could definitely improve it. He listened to our questions (husband came along) answered them fully and provided the education needed to understand what would need to be done.
We (ultimately my choice but I let my hubby have input) decided to go with Dr. Rieger. It was an easy decision after meeting him. Warm, sincere, kind, gentle AND excellent surgeon?!! I was ready!
I was booked for surgeon in under 2 wks. and it went great! No surprises, yay!
Post op I had Dr. Rieger’s cell number so I could call if I needed. It was great piece of mind.
I’m now 8 wks post op and I have a *beautiful* scar! Seriously! He had to do A LOT OF WORK! He had to pull one side of the hip scar down, the other up, and work some magic to smooth it out. Kinda like a body shop, I had dents bumped out! ;-)
Last week while laying down I was amazed I couldn’t see the scar! How?! Unless I bend while standing, I don’t see it! Dr. Rieger hid the scar in my natural contours!!! It was very exciting and reassured/affirmed to me that I did the right thing by having Dr. Rieger fix it.
I’ll be posting photos when I get them at the next visit, then you can judge.
I would absolutely do it again! Thank you from the bottom of my heart Dr. Rieger.
