I went to him because he was listed as Plastic/Cosmetic Surgeon and sold a less invasive Tummy Tuck/Lipo, he sold me. I had 2 children and lost a significant amount of weight that I had kept off for 6 yrs. I exercise at least 5 days a week and I'm fit but I could not exercise the loose skin and Diastasis away. I had been told during previous consultations by plastic surgeons that I had Diastasis, he told me it was only in my lower abdomen. I trusted him. I knew almost immediately something wasn't right. I never felt any tightness in my abdomen. In fact I was up walking perfectly fine within days. I noticed a LOT of excess skin which I didn't have before above my belly button. As the swelling went down I realized my belly button is high and off center. More excess skin than before due to the Lipo. I have since gone and had consultations with Plastic Surgeons and will need a full Major Abdominoplasty, my belly button removed and reconstructed at a later date. According to them, the Diastasis was not corrected and the lipo is uneven so I will need to get that fixed as well. When I went for the surgery I was 136.2 lbs. My 6 month post op I am 133 lbs. My physical and mental health are ruined!! This is not a matter of personal opinion or looking for perfection which he told me was my issue. He offered to redo it but there is no way. I have found a Board Certified Plastic surgeon who will do it, he doesn't even have words to explain this. All after photos are 6 months post op

Tummy Tuck Results Are Getting Worse
Independent8154April 8, 2021
I’m 2 weeks post op today. I’ve been crying for days now. I’ve never been so depressed in my life. Yes I know it’s too soon to look at the final results but my skin is getting more lax and crepey by the day. I’m 5’3 130 lbs I still had an extra 5 from the winter. I exercise 5-6 days a week and eat clean. I lost 75lbs 6 yrs ago and I’ve kept it off. I’ll be 58 next week I had 3 kids. I’m literally sick to my stomach thinking I’ll either have to live with this or do this all over again. Is this part of the healing process?

Omg honey I am so sorry! :(
The Doctor did your scar SO far up! It looks so high!
I think it should have been done lower.
And your stomach should have been flatter then what it is.
I know after Surgery people swell , I get that.
But it's not just swelling here.
I feel as if the Doctor should have taken more skin out and snatched your stomach and your waist way better then what they have done here.
Wait until your more healed and see if you can request a Revision Surgery.
I don't know how your Doctor does things but tell them they did a bad job and tell them you are so unhappy. It's really hard to get approved , but you never know.
I believe you have to be 3-6 months Post Op to request a Revision Surgery.
Just my personal opinion here , I believe the Doctor should have made you SO much more snatched and your scar should be way lower.
But try to see what you can do.
Just keep complaining to them to get their attention!
I wish you all the best love!

It looks like maybe your surgeon only did a mini tummy tuck a d didn't do a lot of work above the belly button. If that's not what you paid for I would definitely bring that up in your next visit. I would make sure you're wearing a pretty snug compression garment to help with the swelling. You have the right to voice your concerns to your surgeon and if he doesn't listen, the power of the internet will make him. I hope things get better for you!

Not any better and yes I’ve been wearing the compression garment 24/7. I go back on Monday. I’be resigned myself to the fact I’m going to need a revision to get it right but I don’t feel I can do the recovery process again.

After about 6 months you'll feel better physically an you can work on getting the revision. Right now I would just focus on healing but PLEASE don't let your surgeon off the hook.
