Feel like a whole new person - my confidence is through the roof

So its been just over one year since my tuck. I still feel amazing and look better than ever. Even on my "fat/bloated days" during my cycle, I still look amazing and am shocked and elated when I look down and don't see that protruding belly that I remember having before surgery. I really look better than I did in my teens and 20s honestly. Sometimes I think she did too good of a job because now I don't have an incentive to work out, haha...The scars are barely visible and my belly button looks really cute. I went back on my one year anniversary for scar revision on one small area above the "t" intersection, and on my belly button that kind of looked thickened, this was done at no cost and was explained to me that it might be neccessary as things healed to make a tweak or two. I also had her revise and fix a few other un related scars on my abdomen I had since I was a baby from heart surgery. The pictures are a little deceiving because there are still reddened areas from the scar revision (done 2 months ago) and along the ab scar itself. these are remnant stretch marks that couldnt be removed so it looks like the actual scar is worse than it is. I have also started having that tattoo removed so that part still looks pretty bad. I might be being picky but I may go back and have micro needling or something for the stretch marks. No, I cant wear super low waisted bathing suits or shorts without revealing the scar but Im too old for that anyway, lol. My only other comment would be that I didnt realize how far up my pubic hair line would be pulled and it goes right up to the scar now. This gives a more youthful look to that pubic area but now I need to have laser hair removal for sure (which I planned on doing anyway for the bikini line zone)...Over all, I am extreeeeemly satisfied and happy I chose Dr. Ballard. My husband and I are really enoying my new body and I am so confident in bed. I love wearing the sexy stuff now (and he loves taking it off haha) My only real complaint is that I now have a clothes shopping addiction because literally EVERYTHING looks good on me!!. No more tears and frustration in the dressing room. Every penny I spent on this procedure was worth it! This office is awesome and I will be back for more services when finances allow. Thank you Dr. Ballard!!!

I can not speak highly enough of my entire experience from the first phone call and consultation, the surgical center, nursing staff (especially Nurse Shelley the patient coordinator) to my one month follow up with Dr. Ballard and the staff at Ann Arbor Surgery Center. Understandably, as a petite (5'1" 117#) 45 yo mom of 7 kids, my body needed some tuning up and restoration, lol. I have always been a smaller woman so multiple pregnancies really did a number on my midsection. I did not feel over weight, just disproportionate and not "myself". It destroyed my confidence, left me feeling like I looked pregnant all the time, my clothes fit bad, and I was super self conscious about my stomach even with shapewear. I had moderate muscle separation (which really inhibited my workouts as I could not engage my core properly), extra handfuls of loose skin, and just could not lose that stubborn fat and spare tire/mommy tummy/muffin top no matter how much I worked out or how I changed my diet. 

Once my youngest turned 4, I sought out Dr. Ballard after doing much research and consulting with other surgeons in Michigan. Since I had a BA done out of state 2 years prior I was ready to finally have my tummy repaired and restored, and to complete "phase 2" of my "mommy makeover" journey. During my consultation there was no question that I wanted Dr. Ballard to be my surgeon. Her education, expertise, knowledge, bedside manner...it felt like talking to a sister. All my questions and concerns were addressed before I could even ask them. I always felt at ease and comfortable with her and her nurse Shelly. I never felt rushed, judged, stupid or unimportant whether in their office or over the phone. The whole process has been seamless. 

So, after seeing the results she had achieved on other patients with the PAL lipo in conjunction with the tuck, I decided to do the power tuck with muscle repair and so glad I did. The sculpting she did to my midsection is jaw dropping. I look better than I did in high school. The scar, belly button, waistline, was so expertly done and just perfect. She is a perfectionist and it shows! I have results better than expected. My recovery was so quick too! For the first time in my life I can see my Abs and now I can actually feel my core engaging. I'm one month post op now and feel like a whole new person! My confidence is through the roof and I love shopping for clothes! I cant imagine how I will look at 3 or even 6 months from now...

Another bonus is she was even able to remove most of an ugly "bad decision" and hide the rest under my panty line, lol. My only regret is that I didn't have her do my entire mommy makeover all at one time...I will definitely be returning to Ann Arbor Plastic Surgery and Dr. Ballard for other age related issues in the future.
