WORTH IT
So far, I have to say I’m very pleased with my decision to have surgery performed by Dr. Spears.
I first saw Dr. Spears a few months ago for a consultation about starting the process of multiple body contouring procedures after years of significant weight loss, and fluctuating weight, which I’ve been able to better sustain over the past couple of years.
To be frank, I’d had one prior *really* bad consult years before, researched a lot of other providers, and spoken to the offices of at least half a dozen recently, before making the appointment with Dr. Spears. I actually had another consultation scheduled, that I canceled after my appointment with Dr. Spears.
I’ve been consistently impressed with her knowledge, confidence, and general demeanor. Her staff are always friendly. The office is always a physically pleasant and welcoming place to enter.
I got on the surgery schedule faster than I expected, which was honestly a welcome surprise and I think will turn out for the best in the long run for a lot of reasons.
I underwent the first of what will certainly be a number of planned procedures just over 3 weeks ago. My recovery so far has been easier than I expected and I’m grateful for that and trying not to take it for granted.
My next procedure is already on the schedule and I’m getting everything ready to go so it hopefully goes as smoothly.

Replacing the post-op photos (with corrected labels). Post-op healing/progress at Post-op days 9, 13, and 21. I feel as though the difference is more apparent in the mirror than in the photos, but there’s definitely progress. Looking forward to starting silicone scar tape soon, once the last of the scabs are gone.
