Tummy tuck and more - I don’t really know what to do

Tummy Tuck and More...

First off, It took a while to actually get an actual consultation. Requests via the website and here on Real Self seemed to have gotten lost and I had been waiting a little while for someone to respond before calling in myself. From there everything happened rather quickly (my choice) and I met with the nurse, doctor De Kleer and agreed to book. You meet with the nurse first and go over details of the surgery and then Dr. De Kleer to discuss pricing and answer any questions you may have. The clinic is very nice and clean, the receptionists and nurse I dealt with were very caring. Wait times not long at all in my opinion and I was able to bring my toddlers with me no problem so that was a plus.
I met with them again to discuss concerns and get answers to additional questions.
My requests were:
- Tummy tuck with muscle repair
- Scar revision on breasts (she encouraged a lift and I agreed to it since she was completely redoing my incisions from a previous reduction)
- Liposuction of flanks and back
During the meetings I made sure to confirm twice about what lipo procedures would be completed as they weren’t really discussed. I also expressed concerns about my excess breast tissue/underarm fat to which she stated she would try lipo and if it decreased to my liking then we could forego a future surgical procedure. We seemed to be on the same page.
Surgery day: it was an early morning, I went in changed accordingly she came in and did her markings to indicate what was about to happen. Everyone introduced themselves and all was well. When I woke up I was all dressed up in the provided garments. Felt normal just a little stiff, they were shocked that I was up and about and doing things on my own but I’ve always been one to bounce back quickly. I didn’t see Dr. De Kleer after my surgery, well aside from driving out of the parking lot. I felt that was a little unusual as I was expecting her to check in once I woke up.
My 1st follow up was the following morning, July 30th, with the nurse. She checked my bandages and asked how I was feeling. We spoke about compression garments.
I then had follow ups on August 2nd, 8th, 16th and few more after that. If I recall I seen the actual Doctor once after my surgery. I was mainly seeing the nurse in regards to bandages, drain removal, scarring etc. On one of the last appointments I indicated to the nurse that my areolas were 2 different sizes and my nipples pointing in different directions now. She acted as if she hadn’t noticed which was disappointing as its VERY noticeable.
Breast lift: To be honest, I don’t even think a lift was completed, they look exactly the same as before aside from the areolas and nipples being messed up. I feel as though I was charged for something that wasn’t actually done. Yes the scars were revised, but an actual lift? Hard to believe that she did one and they still sit the same way.
Tummy tuck: I do have a little disappointment with it as I still have some bulk above the incision line and a pucker right in the center of it. Overall it’s fine, scarring is what I expected and isn’t bad.
Liposuction flanks and back: I don’t know what was done here if anything. I had ABSOLUTELY NO bruising to indicate there was any liposuction completed. I still have the same rolls on my back and look full on my sides.
They contacted me for a follow up prior to all of this Covid 19 stuff and I didn’t actually get to go in but at the same time from the way I felt at the last one I don’t even know if it makes sense. I don’t want to feel as though my concerns or complaints are falling on deaf ears and I’m also scared to even attempt fixing my areolas and nipples in case it just gets worse. I’ve already paid so much money and to think I will be charged again to fix what could’ve just been done correctly from the beginning stressed me out. Don’t really know what to do...

With bandages everything looks good. If the picture of your breasts without the bandages is after then they need to do a correction. It appears to me that your areoles are different sizes. I’m sorry you are going through this and I hope they agree to make a correction.

Yes the picture is from this week. I mentioned the difference at the follow up after the bandages were removed but the nurse said “Really? You think so?”

Ya hopefully :(

I’m praying for you and that you get the correction you need. You are still beautiful regardless!

Do you have a before picture of your breast you can post?

Unfortunately I can't find one. I was trying to get it from my pre surgery video but no luck.

You need to find a different doctor that specializes in fixing other doctor's mistakes. Maybe even see if you can get the doctors from the show Botched to help you. They are miracle workers.
