Better Results Than I Could Have Dreamed Up Myself!

I’m a 38 year old mom of 6. I have always tended to carry any extra weight in my abdomen and six pregnancies added extra saggy skin creating a stomach that I never felt confident in no matter how much exercising I did. After years of complaining about it, I decided to pursue a getting an abdominoplasty. I initially consulted with two surgeons closer to home, but it didn’t feel “right”. I drove from over two hours away for Dr. Ballard’s skill and expertise. My experience with Dr. Ballard and her office at Ann Arbor Plastic Surgery has been exceptional from the first initial phone call to inquire about a consult with Mina through post op with nurse Shelley and Dr. Ballard herself. We decided that I was a good candidate for a “power tuck” or abdominoplasty with flank lipo. My surgery was 11 days ago. I’m already feeling so much better than I expected to at this point! And my results are mind blowing already even with the expected post surgery swelling. My incision is very fine and low. I have definition and a waist. And my belly button is cute! She has amazing bedside manner and explains everything in detail and answered all my questions throughly. I never felt rushed in any pre op appts. On surgery day, I was nervous, but she was so kind and excited for me that it put me at ease! The first thing I remember after waking up after surgery were the nurses/surgical staff gushing about how great Dr. B is a person and what a great job she does and how they want her to do their own tummy tuck surgeries! That says a lot! Dr. Ballard called me after surgery to check on me. The first week IS hard, I’m not going to lie. You definitely need a 1on 1 caregiver and help with your kids if you have them. But Dr. Ballard sets you up for success with meds for pain control and gives fantastic written pre op and post op instructions. She genuinely cares for her patients and does beautiful work! She is truly incredibly talented and has a gift!
