One Week to Go!
UPDATED FROM LLR21
Just over one-year after the tummy tuck
I do not have sensation from approx one inch above my tummy tuck to about two inches below my incisions but who cares?! I look and feel great! :-D Super happy with Dr. Fata and the procedure! I would do it again and don't regret the decision one bit!

My energy level is mostly normal and I can tolerate most activities perfectly fine! The wound problem was fully healed in about three weeks and I have begun silicone scar tape. Feeling more confident these days, that's for sure!

4.5 weeks post with a wound problem
Hello everyone! Things were going really well until 2/12 when one of the scabs fell off and a wound was presented. I've been directed to keep the area moist. Can anyone provide me with some moral support? I'm really disappointed and obviously don't want this to get worse. Trying to stay positive! :)
I weigh 138 now! Almost 10-lbs lighter than the day of surgery!!

It looks like one of them damn "spitting stitches" to me... only cause I've been trolling RealSelf for a few months now. After my breast augmentation, when I thought that's what was going on with my incision, my doctor recommended keeping it clean and dry... but you follow your doctor's orders. I assume by keeping it moist, your PS meant with an antibiotic ointment? I wonder if that would help it dissolve???
Anyway... keep your head up! YOU LOOK GREAT & IT WILL HEAL!

I know it could be worse and if this is the only complication I have I am really fortunate so I'm trying to focus on that. Yes on the antibiotic ointment! And to keep it covered as well. Thank you for the words of encouragement! I hope everything went well with your recovery!
I have something like that. PS told me that it's superficial and to keep a band aid with Vaseline on it. After I shower, I'll lay on the bed and leave it open to the air for about an hour.
Thank you! It's nice to know I'm not alone in this. I read some of your posts and wanted to tell you my tummy is numb too. At first I was nauseous when I touched it (washing in the shower, applying lotion, etc.) and it was really hard to complete hygiene. I have found that the more I force myself to do these things, the easier it is getting. I'm still totally numb but I don't have a sick-to-my-stomach feeling anymore, or at least it isn't as fierce as it was.
OMG I'm so glad I'm not the only one hating to touch my stomach. I force myself too and cringe. Washing in the shower is easier than applying lotion. Closing my eyes help. But, I can tell that it is getting easier day by day. I look forward to my hot showers. Maybe because it's below freezing where I live (Pennsylvania). My surgery was January 12 so I'm almost 5 weeks post op.
Yes!! 100% agree! My surgery was 1/11 :) I also had lipo on my thighs so they're numb too. I'm basically knumb from my belly button to my knees but on my thighs I can feel pressure so I basically massage them when I'm washing to help with the yucky feeling. Congrats on your surgery! You look great!
Sorry your horses head got cut off, but you look great! May I ask what it cost you?
