Happy with my decision - highly recommend him to others

WORTH IT
When I first entertained the idea of plastic surgery for some issues that were beyond my control for improvement I was encouraged to research plastic surgeons in Colombia. I was open to the idea because I knew the country itself had an overall positive reputation for plastic surgery at a more affordable price. I researched a few surgeons and spent very little time making a decision because I knew almost right away that Premium Care Plastic Surgery was the best fit for me. As a former police detective I operate on facts, intuition and gut instincts. After I had my first over the phone consultation with Dr. Alex Campbell I knew I made the right choice and went forward with scheduling my surgery. Here are the three main reasons I choose him and his practice without any personal recommendations or prior knowledge of his practice:
1. I found comfort in the fact that he attended Medical school in the United States and our families had some commonalities. I admired his background, experience and ambition. I was intrigued and impressed with his desire to build a practice outside of his home country and serve patients without astronomical pricing. The website is designed with information for anyone and everyone but I really like how it catered to mothers. There are many ways that our bodies change and cannot naturally “bounce back.” The pricing, information and the care model really helps break down barriers of embarrassment, guilt or feeling like the cost is unattainable. The fact that he serves as a Medical Officer for Mobile Surgery International and is a Medical Advisor to the United States Embassy in Colombia further built my confidence and trust in his skill set, ethics, and patient care.
2. Outside of running a very busy practice He and Dr. Carolina Restrepo volunteer their time to repair cleft pallets to children through the “5 Star Cleft Care” with Premium Care Kids. To me this was a huge reflection of the values of the doctors and a passion to serve not just locally but on a global scale. Their dedication to perform much needed surgeries and providfollow up care and education is nothing short of astounding.
3. During my consultation I expressed some of my thoughts and concerns with my body after children. I didn’t really have an interest in a breast augmentation even though my breasts had lost a little volume after breastfeeding I wasn’t unhappy with their size or shape. I also felt I could potentially be swayed if he suggested it. Dr. Campbell stated, “The best surgery is no surgery.” He then went on to boost my confidence and encourage me to stick with areas of higher concern and that was all I needed to hear. This could have been an opportunity to “up-sale me or push me into thinking I needed something I didn’t. My husband and I really appreciated his professionalism and integrity.
When I arrived in Cartenga Meeting him in person felt even better. I was mentally and emotionally ready to go into surgery and felt a strong sense of peace with my decision. I was grateful to have had both surgeons working on me during my surgery. I had a tummy tuck with muscle repair, 360 lipo and nipple reconstruction on my left breast. There is a specific follow up care process that includes daily visits from the nurses and lymphatic drainage massages which I know benefited significantly from.
I couldn’t have even imagined a recovery process that doesn’t include all these services. Typically that is not part of the treatment plan in the United States. I am happy with my decision and would recommend Dr. Campbell and his team to others.
