3 weeks Post Op going into another surgery for E-Coli infection

Had a TT/MR/Lipo 2 flanks on 4/12. Had post op on 4/14 and was told all was well and sent home. Went back on 4/25 had tubes removed. Inquired about swollen stomach and hardness. Told it was inflammation and it would be ok. Received call on 4/29 and I informed them of fever that had persisted for 3 days and that I was going to ER. Have not heard back. I was immediately admitted to ER after abscess fluid was found after CT Scan on 4/29. Cultures were taken on 4/29 and they came back as E-Coli. I have NEVER been sick. Had a clean bill of health before I went to New Life Plastic Surgery. And now I am going into another surgery on 4/7 to remove the infection because the drains that were placed back inside of me on 4/30 did not get all of the infection.

I pray you are doing better. Ironically this happened to me also. I had my surgery on the same day as you. Two weeks later developed a fever of 103 that would not go away. After 3 days I went to the ER and was admitted for 4 days where I received IV antibiotics through both arms simultaneously. Were you admitted and received IV drugs? They helped me tremendously. I was then weened off of the IV and placed on oral antibiotics that I continued for ten more days. I was diagnosed with severe sepsis which lucky for me I chose a reputable local surgeon who has been there for me every step of the way.

I forgot to mention also that I had the abcess and fluid on my stomach per the CT SCAN. Once the infection began to subside, the inflammation and swelling began to go down as well. I'm praying that this gets better for you.

Yes I got an I faction from that place too. I was hospitalized in February 2022 with sepsis. They never returned my calls. I totally regret going there. I hope the board shuts him down before someone dies.
