I can’t believe it’s been 4 months already. My scar is healing nicely. I have gained a few pounds during quarantine. I had lost 16lbs after surgery and gained 9 back! Working on getting it back off. I still feel like I need to wrap my stomach up sometimes. I wear my faja when I get home from work and while I’m sleeping (most nights). Definitely wear it when working out! Here’s a pic of me this morning natural and flexed. I can’t believe I could have abs of I lose some weight and start toning.

8 weeks feeling great

myjourney247
Can’t believe I’m 8 weeks post op. I’m feeling great! Able to sleep on my side and work out a little more. I’m not comfortable running or lifting anything heavy but I walk a lot, work out at at home with light weights & jump on my trampoline. I wear my faja while sleeping and working out. Basically as soon as I get off from work, I’m in my faja.
I’ve lost a total of 16lbs this year so far. 7 with surgery and the rest on my own. I feel like I need to lose more because of my incision. Hard to explain. My incision is healing nicely. Haven’t had any issues. Posting pics

Fluid pocket drained

myjourney247
Had a follow up today which is about 2 weeks after getting my right drain removed that was still draining approximately 45cc’s a day. Doc said everything is looking good but my swelling is going down slower than most. I showed him a small pocket towards my upper abs. Didn’t know if it was a bruise but he checked it and took a syringe of liquid out. I think he could have taken more out but he said that was enough. The syringe didn’t hurt. I was a little nervous cause I can feel my whole stomach except for right below my belly button. The needle was sharp and small so it wasn’t bad and he was quick.
I was released to do whatever I want to do within my comfort which is pretty much what I’ve been doing anyways.

Did your doctor suggest you loose more weight first?
February 26, 2020
Nope. I consulted with two doctors and neither of them mentioned weight. About five years ago I lost 65 pounds. I've gained 20 pounds over the years but my weight has been consistent for about a year or so. I would like to lose the 20 pounds I gained but my doctor hasn't mentioned it.

Happy you were able to get your fluid pocket drained! I am still on Bromelain supplements, I feel like they are helping during my swelling. I forgot to take them only a few days and it seems I was more swollen during those days (or it is all in my head lol). Cannot believe we are a month post op! You are healing great, I have to remind myself to be patient with the healing. Every day we heal more and more!!!:):):)

I looked up Bromelain and it's similar to the arnica tablets I tried taking. They have a side effect of increased heart rate. I have a heart condition and cannot take them, unfortunately :(. I am currently struggling with this swelling and don't think the water pills are helping. I can tell the swelling is going down VERY slowly thanks to taking a lot of pics lol. I'm still happy with my results and know it's a process!

Oh oh, I didn't know they increase the heart rate, thank you so much for letting me know! Yes absolutely, it is a slow process. My friend had her TT done 5 months ago and she still swells up sometimes, especially if she overdoes it, but it is getting better! Pics definitely help! Sometimes I think there is no difference and then I look at just a few weeks ago and notice a huge difference, so we truly heal a bit each day!!! :) :) :)

The arnica effected me immediately after taking them. My heart is sensitive so I have to be careful which supplements I use. I have a friend about 6 months post op and she swells also. My doc says my swelling is going down slow so he wouldn't be surprised if I'm still swollen at 6 months. I expect 6-12 months to be over this swelling.

Same here, my doc said to expect swelling to subside around 4-6 months but that it can last for up to a year. Your results are great, we will be ready for the bikini season!!!:):):)

Yessss!! I can't wait!!

I've never worn a bikini in my life so I'm looking forward to wearing one... maybe with a see through cover up lol

I too had to have a seroma drained from my upper abs. I noticed mine at 5 1/2 weeks. I still see the little bump and when I went back a month or so ago he said it should go down on its own. I will be 4 months post op March 7.

That's good to know. Thanks for sharing!
