So I have surgery with Stephanie A Stover on February 27th . I have to get my BMI under 32 I’m around 34 right now so it won’t be hard. I’m just going over the pre op materials and it’s overwhelming I almost want to go get my deposit back ??????????? also anyone have directions like this? For after surgery, to walk every hour ? I mean when do I sleep? This is fearing me because I’m scared of blood clots and death of course so after surgery how often do I walk?? Any questions please ask. I’ll provide photos later !

I just had my TT with muscle repair and Lipo... I’m a thin woman 5’7” and about 120 lb. but had lots of loose skin after I had my twins 11 years ago. I’m on day three of recovery and go for my first check up tomorrow. I have to say it’s not as bad as I thought. Don’t get me wrong get ready for major lower back pain from being hunched over and don’t try to be brave take the pain meds as they help tramemdasly. Be sure to have a recliner as this has been a savior at night for me. I wish you the best of luck and a speedy recovery.

You so much I hope you feel a lot better LOL I guess with scaring me the most is blood clots. When you went home, did you go to sleep or did you walk around a little? I don’t know if they want to start walking after five days or what. Once I get that under control and I think I will feel a lot better. Also, yes I have a recliner and a heating pad so I’m ready! I just want to make sure I don’t have any blood clots LOL

Did they give you your first binder there when you finish?

There’s no schedule on walking. Get some TED hose and walk when you feel like it. As long as you’re moving to keep circulation going at some points in the day you’ll be fine. Walking, leg exercise if you are able, etc

phew ok! ted hose? thanks I feel better now

anti embolism socks or stockings. You can get them at a pharmacy and maybe Walmart. At the hospital we walk ppl twice a day, in addition to the getting up to pee etc and they are normally fine.

Did anyone really walk for an entire hour if they did have to drive to like let’s say a massage appointment?

This sounds like it's for ppl who are traveling to Miami to have their surgery. They want those patients to wait at least 5 to 7 days before they travel back home. They have to walk some every hour that they're traveling, not walk for an hour. If you're local(and wont be traveling), then I wouldn't worry about it. Just follow all of your doctor's other instructions and make sure you are up and walking often. You'll be just fine hun.
