My Medical Vacations, Cancun

In 2017 I started researching Cosmetic procedures abroad. I sent off various emails to many providers asking a million questions about the surgeries, aftercare, and cost. The only company to contact me personally by phone was My Medical Vacations in Cancun. We had a vacation in Cancun already booked when Karen from MMV rang to talk about the procedures I was interested in. She suggested we have a consultation with the surgeon and a dentist while we were there. We decided to do it.
MMV arranged local transportation to and from our hotel and Karen and their concierge Betty, accompanied us to the consultations. Betty also assisted with translation.
We were made to feel very welcome and were treated with utmost hospitality. Dr. Torres, the surgeon, and the dentist at Sunset Dental spent as long as we needed to answer all our questions and explain everything in detail. There was no hard sell and no pressure to commit. This was a great experience on its own, but the best was yet to come.
On return from our vacation, we decided to proceed with our treatments. I was going to have an extended tummy tuck, breast lift, and reduction, max liposculpture and fat injected into my buttocks. My husband was going to have extensive dental treatment including 4 implants. Our main contact was Katie Lynas, the Medical Consultant at My Medical Vacations. She led us through the booking procedure and was our 'go-to' person for all our questions. She is extremely knowledgeable, professional and has a reassuring and beautiful personality. We felt that we could ask her anything, no matter how silly it seemed.
Fast forward to November 2017 and we are on our way to Cancun. We were met at the airport by MMV and I was taken to have my blood work done on our way to the hotel. The following day I was picked up by Aya and taken to another Dr. for an ECG and medical to check that I was in good health for my surgeries. I also met with Dr. Torres again who put me totally at ease. I felt excited!
The next day, Aya picked us up and took us to the hospital. She stayed with me while Dr. Torres prepared me for the surgeries. Dr. Torres was meticulous in his marking up of my body and I felt more than confident that was in the right hands. After the surgeries, I spent the night in the hospital and Ana, an amazing nurse from My Medical Vacations stayed with me for the entire night. I was constantly supervised and checked upon throughout the entire night. I should mention that while I was in the hospital my husband was taken to the dentist for extensive dental work. MMV took him everywhere he needed to be, even to do some shopping and ensured he was back with me when his appointments were over.
When all my surgeries were completed (I stayed in the hospital for 3 nights with Ana by my side every night) I was taken back to the hotel by Ana. She spent time settling me in and explaining my medications. She then visited every day to help me shower, change dressings and made sure that we had everything and anything we needed.
Throughout our stay, we had visits from Aya, Karen, Ana, Katie and Andres on an almost daily basis. Everyone at My Medical Vacations went out of their way to make sure we were happy and comfortable and honestly couldn't do enough for us. We never felt on our own and any concerns or questions were resolved in person or by a phone call or text. I know it sounds cliche, but every member of staff at My Medical Vacations became our friends.
We are planning to return in the not too distant future so that my husband can complete his dental treatment and I am going to have another cosmetic procedure with Dr. Torres.
