Fantastic Result, but with a Difficult Process - Excellent Support from Dr Anna
I had a tummy tuck and abdominoplasty with Dr Anna De Leo in December 2023. I had no muscle support, loose skin around my tummy and a muffin top on my hips which all worsened over a 20 year period due to weight gain/loss and post child birth.
From my initial consultation I trusted Dr Anna. Dr Anna asked detailed questions and took her time to review my stomach and abdomen, this was very different to the quick and impersonal consultations at other clinics I reviewed. The surgery went very smoothly, unfortunately a month after surgery my body started to reject the stitches from hip to hip, I was having an allergic reaction along the incision line.
The following two months Dr Anna and her team worked endlessly to dress my wounds, test for infections (thank fully there were none) and restitch each area under local anaesthetic. It is a rare occurrence to be allergic to the stitches, however, I was thankful for the duty of care that I received from ADL Synergy and it highlighted the need to have access to your surgeon and their team post-operation incase of complications. Dr Anna would call me directly, her nurses would text everyday so that we could keep on top of any medication changes & check in, and I was able to travel to the Welbeck hospital when needed. Once all of the original stitches had been replaced along the incision line by body healed quickly. I love my new tummy and it felt great to be back in bikini over the summer.
