My Body Looks 10 Years Younger!

It's finally MY TURN! I have been reading reviews on realself for years and finally I get to leave my own review! I am 6 weeks out from my Tummy tuck with muscle repair and I am ecstatic with my results! I look 10 years younger and I still have swelling. A little bit about me- I'm in my 40s and had both of my children when I was very young. I hadn't worn anything that showed my stomach, including a bikini, since I was 18 years old. I tried to stay as covered as possible always fearful that if I lifted my arms you might see the loose skin. I had been wanting to get this done for so long, but I was gripped with fear. I was worried about the price, the recovery and the pain, and most importantly the lasting ugly scar. I researched doctors endlessly wishing that I could have what others had but never making the commitment. One day I ran across the real self page for Dr Rady. As I scrolled through the photos, what struck me first was how incredibly thin and hardly noticeable the scarring was on all of his tummy tuck patients. Before I knew it I had called and made an appointment for a consultation. After the first visit with Dr Rady I knew that he was my doctor. I set a date and tried to mentally prepare for what I thought would be a very intense recovery. To my surprise, my 6 week journey has not been difficult at all. I did have muscle spasms for several weeks but that was honestly the most uncomfortable part and they have completely subsided now. Even though it wasn't necessary, I purchased a cheap recliner off of Amazon and slept in that for the first couple of nights because it felt a bit more supportive. I also bought those wedge surgery pillows but I didn't end up using them. After a few nights I moved back to the bed and I used some pillows to make myself more comfortable. Sleeping on my back was hard as I am typically a side or stomach sleeper, but after awhile I got used to it. The binder is annoying and I couldn't wait to throw it in the trash, but it also supported me immensely. Once it was off I did find that I was more easily winded by simple tasks. I went out grocery shopping on week 6 and I felt exhausted. It will take a while to get back to my normal energy levels. Dr Rady is a pro and the absolute best tummy tuck surgeon. My scar is so small and it's not raised. It's going to be so easy to hide behind a cute little bikini. I'm so excited for summer! If this is something you have been considering, do it! Reclaim your body and enjoy your life! THANK YOU DR RADY!
