How it works
- Our highly-trained Review Moderation team evaluates all reviews before they're published to ensure they're written by people like you and not a member of a doctor's office.
- This multi-step process takes up to 24 hours from review submission to publication.
- Doctors can't pay to have reviews removed or hidden.
- Reviews are only removed at the reviewer's request or if they violate our Terms of Service.
If you have questions or believe we should re-evaluate a published review, let us know.

Just some before, during and after pictures.
Just wanted to add some pictures it would not let me when I created my review for some reason.
Great surgeon BUT
One year ago I had a tummy tuck, lipo 360 and a bbl. I chose to go to Dr Ziyad after seeing the work he had done on a friend whose results were fabulous. This friend had life threatening complications of sepsis and C diff and was on a wound vac for months following her surgery but I figured well that is a risk you take when you have surgery, I am in good health, she just had babies maybe her immune system wasn't strong enough etc. Fast forward two weeks after my surgery and I develop a 105 fever, just days after stopping the 'preventative' antibiotics they give you. Now a friend of mine just had a tummy tuck here in MA and was not given any preventative antibiotics at all but I was given Ciproflaxen and Doxycycline. Giving ciproflaxen as a preventative might tell me he is well aware of his big infection rate since that is a pretty strong antibiotic, however it was not strong enough to kill off whatever was causing my infection so they called me in something else while I waited two days for it to work and then something else and told me to give it two days. After one day I developed a 105 temperature and had my husband bring me to the emergency room. Oh, I was also in excruciating pain through all of this and basically told to bad. I was given one bottle of 30 5mg Percocet which said to take one every four hours. They listed 6 days, I was in severe pain for three weeks (now my friend who just had her tummy tuck with no muscle repair was given dilidid!) But with all that work I had done I was just left to suffer. So I had a five day hospital stay on IV antibiotics to kill off the cellulitis infection I had in my incision. My stomach is only just now almost a year later recovered from the massive doses of antibiotics I was given to get me better. I was not going to leave a review because I will say he did a fabulous job, 11 months later I look amazing aside from the scar it stretched out where it was infected but I was recently blocked from his Facebook group I can only assume for telling someone I did in fact have complications of infection. The fact that they want that hidden is very scary to me. Why should they have to worry about hiding the facts of possible complications of surgery-unless as I suspect the rate is very high?
I also want to say he office staff is extremely unprofessional. He is confident and sweet but the office staff not at all and I can not wrap my head around why he would not change that unless he is just so in demand he simply doesn't care. The nurse barely speaks English and is a very stern, cold man. The anesthesiologist who put me under left me feeling traumatized with pure propanol, nothing to relax me just straight out paralyzed me I could not breathe and had knocked the oxygen nose mask off in a panic but I do have SVT and he kept me alive with no heart issues so I guess we can give him that credit. Zero bedside manner though just like the after care nurse I had I woke up to him sitting in a chair staring at me did not offer any comfort or kind words just stared at me which scared the hell out of me I did not expect to wake up with a man staring at me.
One other thing that rubbed me the wrong way was when Dr Ziyad came in to mark me up he had chunks of bloody fat on his crock shoes I don't know why but it should have occurred to me that the surgery room could not possibly be sterile if he is wearing the same bloody crocks throughout the day. I guess I assumed he would change them I don't know I was to shooken up the morning of surgery to really give it much thought but in hindsight that should have been a red flag for me I am trained in blood borne pathogens and bloody shoes are a definite way to spread pathogens! The consult room was very dirty, like visible dirt on the walls and a gross facial bed dirty but that was just an office so I also did not give that much thought.
I did reach out for a price for breast implants and a lift I was on the fence with using them again but then I found another Dr who openly shared that his infection rate is only 2% for breast augmentation so I decided it best to not take chances with possible infection again as I have also seen quite a few girls in his Facebook group showing pics of infected breast lift incisions and I had been chasing his 'coordinator' anyhow for about three months.
The office also did not sent my records to my primary care Dr or the hospital when they were requested so I have no idea what was used or done. I know my hemoglobin level was a 7 when I went into the hospital and it was a 14.9 when I went into surgery so I obviously lost a lot of blood. I didn't even think it was legal to not send medical records when they are requested but I guess in Miami the can get away with things you can't in the rest of the country. I actually just emailed the health department to ask that question because I should have the right to my records.
I really struggled with wether or not I would leave reviews to share my story because like I said my results are great and I do believe Dr Ziyad is a talented surgeon but all the other things outweigh that in my opinion and if they will not allow me to tell my story within their group when someone asks then I will make sure it is seen publicly because people have the right to know what they are possibly facing when scheduling with him.
