Tummy tuck, lipo sculpture on back and thighs

Week 5

WORTH IT$4,764
Week 5 post op (38 days), and I've recovered most of my strength. The benefits so far, besides looking slimmer, is that I have better posture, and also improved bowel and urinary movements. I'm more regular and bowel movements are so much easier. Urinary movements are a much stronger and longer flow.
Most of the stitches have dissolved, and that area of scarring feels strong, as does the belly button.
I'm happy with my progress.

It is great your recovery is going well and you have the shape/ figure you like. Good to know your urinary and BMs are improved. Your incision is pronounced at 5-weeks, what scar therapy are you planning to use going forward. I'm interested, as I have lived in Brisbane for 2 years and I know you can get anything thing you want in Australia.
Hi MrsManner, at my age, 60, I'm not too concerned about the scar as nobody will ever see it but me, haha. I don't know anything about scar therapy. If it's something simple then maybe down the track a bit. I am thinking about having my arms done and then the scar will really matter to me. What scar therapy do you know about?
That's one flat tummy and great waistline! You're ONLY 60...you never know who's gonna be checking out your new body! ;)
Oh thank you, Barndog. I like the 'ONLY 60' part. These days 60 isn't what it used to be.
LOL, to funny @JayBee + BarnDog; They say SexySixty is the new 40. I am in my 50s and in a relationship for the last 2.5 years. He will see the scar and if I ever leave him for any reason... Yes, someone else will see the incision.

With that said, some complications can arise up to 3-months after surgery. I have sensitive skin and I definitely have to monitor my healing (in this case, open wounds on the incision, infection, and etc.) for 6 months. Thus here are the 3 products I found work for me and are designed to be applied when the incision or wounds are closes.

1. New Gel+ Silicone Tape
2. PS Steroid injection into the incision hard spots or splaying
3. Murad Rapid Age Spot + Pigment Lightening Serum
4. Glycolic 10 Renew Overnight

1 and 2 treatment are used simultaneously.
3 Applied to new/minor scratches (outside of face and neck) areola after Breast Lift
4 Used to resurface the skin, after skin allergy, infection or other skin issue requiring healing.

Day 17 with images

I've gone back work and it has been easy. But luckily I work 5 hours a day and sitting down most of the time. I've posted images to show the scars, and I trust this will all improve over time. I'm so happy with the results, but now my arms do look disproportionately fat, and I think I will have to get an arm lift. Then that will be it. It's given me more time to enjoy looking good in clothes.
Sleeping is much easier now and I sleep well. Showering is also no problem. Actually I'm starting to feel like my normal self.
One thing though, I did have a lot of congestion and this might be because of the tight compression garment, I don't know, but that's starting to clear up and the cough is almost gone.

2 weeks post op and photos

I have had my first shower at home and took some photos. Here's also a photo of me and Dr Sameer on the day I left the hospital.
I'm already thinking about the arms, my arms to suit my body now. I think I might go back in June next year and get that done. My sister is also considering having work done at the same time so we can be there together.

Thank you for all your updates. I am considering the same things and in India (bc I love India! And it is cheaper than US but still quality doctors available). I am interested in your scar and how that looks and how to heals - when and if you are ready to reveal. Also, did you do muscle repair or just skin? I think I need only skin (almost 100 lb weight loss - hopefully hit 100 soon and that is my goal) Bc that is what last PS told me as he felt my rock hard and under the skin - I work out like a nut! Your recovery seems realistic as a good normal recovery so wondering if that is muscle as well or just skin. Thanks :-).
Meant to say “rock hard abs”
It's muscle. At the moment I have a cough due to congestion and it hurts.
I'll post my scar within a few days. Thanks for commenting.
Thanks! Hurting only when coughing is pretty darn good so soon after a muscle repair! Or does it hurt otherwise? Thanks - lots of curiosity!
Nothing else hurts. And even the coughing is not that painful. I'm more concerned about doing damage to the muscle than the pain. But I think it's healed enough by now to dope with it. Getting out of bed is getting easier too. Having a shower standing up is no problem. So it's just the cough really.
He did a great job.
thank you, ciking. It will improve over the months
You look AMAZING. I hope healing is fast for you. Sharing your journey has been inspirational for me. I hope to get this done next year and you've given me a greater insight to the procedure. Thank you.
