I have struggled with my weight my entire life! At 5’9 with large but curvy frame I’ve bounced around from 180 to 230:-/ I gained 60 pounds with my pregnancy and now finally got it all off plus 15! I am down to 197 ish and still losing. Unfortunately my stomach did not bounce back and I need a tummy tuck with lipo!

Bad experience with Dr. Opp’s Staff :-/

After reaching almost 100 pound weightloss and breaking through to 197-199, I finally called his office to set up a consult. I was quickly shut down by his rude staff, after asking my height and weight (5’9 and 199). She immediately said “no you don’t qualify with a BMI under 30 you need to be 170.” And that was that, she almost hung up on me. I was so upset after reaching my personal milestone of “ONDERland” that I couldn’t even explain to her, I was still losing weight in preparation for a Dec surgery date but I know I needed to consult now. Furthermore, I’ve never even been 170 in my adult life (have a large frame).
After we hung up, I realized my BMI is under 30 and I do qualify. I called back and spoke to someone else who wasn’t much better. She clarified that I qualify, but she would need to call me back. Since my last call, I have emailed 2 times with pictures and NO RESPONSE!
As for the surgeon his work is amazing, he seems very caring and genuine from his IG. I am sure he would be disappointed how his staff handles potential patients.
On their IG, in the comments his office claims to accept a 32 and under BMI, but they told me 30. They also use woman very with large midsections for these drastic before and afters that appear to have a BMI well over 30.
Oh well, the show must go on and I am not getting discouraged over his staff’s implied rules. I have a consult with another surgeon:-)

So unfortunate. I had same experience with trying to get a consultation with him for mommy makeover. Im 5'2 145 carry my weight in my stomach. BMI 26. I called last month and they told me lose 10 lbs first before I met with the Dr. Long story short I got in with Dr. Armando and lost 10lbs and have my surgery Monday lol. They were so happy to get me in front of the doctor. I felt wanted and important and SAFE! Im sure Dr opp is amazing unfortunately his staff is doing a disservice to his practice.

I called too and had the same situation. My BMI is 29 and I’m ready. They asked me if I’m planing on losing more weight which I said yes. So the lady who spoke with me said “ lose the weight and keep it for four weeks then call back for consultation” smh I could not believe what was listening to. So I emailed them requesting if I ca. Pay a deposit and set a date for end of year and they said no. This is just crazy. He needs new staff. A little more professional and caring
