I’ve Waited 13 Years to Do This for Myself

WORTH IT$10,500
I gave birth to two twelve pound babies - with no gestational diabetes. I am 5’3 on my tallest day, so my tummy has been stretched to bits never to return. After having the babies, my weight has yo-yo’d and I told myself that I could get the tummy tuck when I lost the weight and kept it off. Well, 13 years later and Ive lost and regained that weight again and again. A few years ago I decided to get off the dieting merry go round. This summer I decided to get the tummy tuck despite the extra weight - because my weight has stayed the same for a few years. I heard that Dr. Nathan did the best belly buttons and was “the tummy tuck guy” in St. Louis. I went to my consultation and was super comfortable and scheduled my surgery. (Which was a little more complicated due to a hernia). I am the day after surgery and honestly am thrilled with my result already.

First full day home

I continue to take it easy and walk around a bit when I go to the bathroom but that’s about it. I showered today which did make me tired - but am so excited and pleased with my results so far. I have continued to take my Valium but haven’t taken any pain pills since last night. I have the one drain - and it has cleared up a lot - and is now clear light pink.

Day Four
stlouiscrowNovember 23, 2018
Just wanted to post another update. Things are progressing nicely - and I’m trying to go slowly and not overdo it. Attached to this post is a pic that shows my body contours using a digital device that does your measurements for clothing - which was done pre-op. I always felt terrible about my silhouette because it reminded me of Humpty Dumpty. There are also two aftershocks taken after my shower today. The incision site is itchy which tells me it’s healing. :)

It’s an app called zozo - it’s for taking measurements for custom clothing. I still need to do my after! :)
Thank you for sharing your review with the RealSelf Community! Glad to read that you are thrilled with the results already. It looks amazing! Please continue to update your review as you go through the healing process.
