I’ve Waited 13 Years to Do This for Myself

I’m so happy with my result - and keep feeling better and better. Probably for the last week I have felt pretty much like myself again and have my stamina back. I really think one of the hardest parts of recovery is giving yourself permission to sit and be still a lot more than you normally would - because if you push it too much the next day is a complete sit it out day. I could not be happier with my result and my belly button is the cutest I’ve ever had - including before kids. :) I was an at least 40 pounds overweight by the way - but have been here for years - and bargained with myself that if I lost the weight I would “deserve” the tummy tuck. I was relieved that Dr. Nathan wasn’t mean about he extra weight AT ALL and was more concerned with if my weight was stable. I continue to be thrilled with my result.

I just want to put up these pictures from this morning. My mesh and glue come off over the weekend and so my incision I think looks a lot better. I am thrilled with my result and probably won’t post again until more fully recovered. :)

Day 12

stlouiscrow
Every morning I wake up smaller. I’ll be honest, I’m going to be sad when the shrinking stops. My belly button hernia seems to be healing fine, and I am in love with my new belly button. I had a bad reaction to band aids - which who knew that could happen and be so intense? The nurse advised me to discontinue using bandaids but keep the drain hole and my belly button lean and doused in Polysporin. Here are my pictures from the morning of day 12. I am glad that with my big butt and thugs I opted to no do the lipo on my flanks as I like the hourglass look that is shaping up and didn’t want to have narrow hips and big thighs. All I really wanted was a flatter tummy and no more huge bag of skin drooping over.
