3 weeks Post Op
I'm not in any pain from the tummy tuck anymore, but my abs are sore. It still hurts to sneeze or cough.
The incision is healing up great! I'm so pleased!!
I didnt have much fat on my bra line, but the doctor took it for me anyway. My 34 inch bras fit like a dream! I've always hated wearing bras, but not anymore.
My waist keeps shrinking! The swelling is still there, but it is noticeably less each week. I took my measurements this week just for fun... 40-30-41. I'm 5'7, so that works out to be a pretty gorgeous hourglass! I've had 8 babies (the last was twins), and I didn't even look this good before having kids.
I am chomping at the bit to get the all clear to start exercising, and strengthening up my muscles... since I have CORE strength now FINALLY!
Every Mama should be allowed such a beautiful repair of their diastis recti (if surgery is warranted for the individual case of course. My gap was just so ridiculously huge after so many pregnancies, and huge babies, surgery was the best option for me personally.)

5 days post op
had my surgery on July 20th, so I'm 5 days post op. I've been resting and sleeping constantly, but making sure to get up and move around several times a day. I have a walker I've been using, and that helps a lot. Drinking plenty of water, and taking meds on time religiously.
The first two days were really painful, excruciating to try to get to the bathroom. And coughing, sneezing... holy death pain Batman! I shed some tears for sure!!!
The staff was amazing at Northbank Surgical Center!! My nurse was the sweetest lady, I think her name was Janet? ( Short, red pixie haircut). She went so above and beyond! My husband couldn't be in there with me because of Covid, and I woke up from anesthesia with no familiar faces around. I felt scared and disoriented, and started crying. Whether it was the drugs or the pain, who knows. My nurse was so compassionate, and I felt instantly safe. I even asked her for a hug amidst the tears and she was so sweet to give me one!
Oh! And they gave me lidocaine in the IV site before they administered the IV, so I never felt a thing!
My anesthesiologist was an older gentleman (Dr. Clark I believe), and he really inspired a lot of confidence! Excellent bedside manner, and it felt like he was a favorite older uncle of mine. Put me totally at ease.
Dr. Neaman is a wonderful surgeon, he knew exactly what I was hoping for and delivered big time! So far my shape looks gorgeous!
I had a c-section with my last babies (a set of twins), and the incision healed so ugly and hard. It had been infected, popped open twice, was just a total nightmare. Dr. Neaman incorporated my tummy tuck incision along the same area as my c-section scar, and did away with that eyesore all together!!
There is a lot of time still before the end results will be more accurate, but so far I feel so relieved, pleased, and appreciative of the work done by Dr. Neaman and the whole surgery center staff.
I'll upload photos when I have a little more energy, and update again soon

7 days post op
I'm headed to Dr Neaman tomorrow for my post OP appt, and hopefully losing the drains. The most surprising thing has been how sore my lower back is, but it's because I can't stand up properly. That's to be expected though, and not a complication per se. I was so pleased to find he had totally eliminated my c section scar (which was an absolute eyesore), and I am already feeling so hopeful for the end result. Dr. Neaman's staff was really kind when I called two different days with a few questions. They never made me feel rushed or ignorant, just really caring ladies!
