Finally Feel Like Myself Again!

I am a returning patient of Dr Moncrieff who previously removed my breast implants and performed a breast lift around 4 years ago. I am now 3 weeks post-op from a full abdominoplasty with liposuction and fat grafting to my breasts.

I am so happy with how my results are currently healing and could not be happier with my decision to go with Dr Moncrieff and his team at Hunter Plastic Surgery. I cannot fault anyone that has been involved in my care; all of his clinic staff and the nurses are welcoming and friendly at every appointment. His team at the hospital were equally as approachable, which made me feel completely at ease. The communication at every stage was prompt and reliable and any questions I had were addressed clearly which ensured I knew exactly what to expect. Their level of care from start to finish has been thoughtful and thorough.

Dr Moncrieff’s results really speak for themselves. I looked at so many different plastic surgeons when considering undergoing surgery and Dr Moncrieff stood out to me because of his natural looking results. I felt completely comfortable during my appointments and well informed thanks to his willingness to answer all of my questions. My primary reason for seeing him a second time was for an abdominoplasty to address my post-pregnancy muscle separation and skin laxity. However, I also wanted to enquire about my options to address some minor breast asymmetry which had previously been corrected with breast implants. After having my implants removed and a breast lift with him, he understood that I wanted to avoid having implants again. I am a slim, active person so I didn’t feel like I needed the size increase that would require an implant. He was very open with me about the procedure and realistic about the results I could achieve with a graft alone but never once pressured me to consider implants. I am now 3 weeks post-op and could not be happier with how I’m healing. I still have quite a bit of swelling around my abdomen but I’m starting to see some shape and definition return. My dressings came down today and, while a scar is unavoidable, I am very happy with where he has positioned my incisions and confident they will heal into neat and subtle scars. The liposuction sites to my inner and outer thighs which were used for donor fat have healed well with no issues. I am also incredibly happy with the fat graft to my breasts, the majority of swelling has subsided and I can see he has shaped them really nicely, they are now symmetrical with a modest but noticeable improvement in fullness and size, which is exactly what I had hoped for. He truly is so good at what he does and I could not recommend him more highly.

I would also like to mention Alecia, the nurse who has been managing my post-op care in clinic. She has been so kind and approachable which has made me feel relaxed and comfortable during what is quite a vulnerable stage of healing. Furthermore she is clearly very knowledgeable with the way she answers all of my questions and is always happy to do so.

I’m excited to see my final results settle over the coming months and am completely confident I’m going to be happy with them. Having now had a number of procedures with Dr Moncrieff I can confidently recommend him if you are considering breast or body surgery. While he is obviously a skilled plastic surgeon, I think the fact that he focuses exclusively on female breast and body surgery has allowed him to gain the experience in these areas that allows him to achieve the results that he does for his patients.
