6week Review
This week makes six weeks since my surgery date. I’m feeling much better than I did a few weeks ago. My incision is healing good. I’m still feeling a bit blah about my results considering I have to wait 6months for any revisions. However during this time I will be sure to do my due diligence to find a PS with the skill set, to give me the results that meet my standard. I’m not expecting perfection but I am expecting a normal looking belly button, and for both of my sides to match. I don’t want to look odd if and when I decide to wear a 2 piece. My expectations were not unrealistic, I simply didn’t want the first glance of my belly to scream botched surgery????. I’ve read that 6 weeks is a milestone I have not determine exactly what that milestone is yet. On the bright side I’ve returned to cycling (can’t allow my Peloton to collect dust), started gradually and building my way back. It fills good to do more than sit around. Sleeping in the bed is still pretty uncomfortable for me so I’m still in the recliner, hopefully that changes soon.
3 week Update
3 weeks and 2 days post op
As of today It’s been 3 weeks and 2 days since since the TT surgery. I’ve not posted much up to this point because I wanted to give an accurate account of my experience. I was raised to not say anything if I have nothing good to say. Seeing as I’ve used this site to make a life changing decision I hope this review can help those that are on the fence, as I once were. First thing, I’m still quite unsure of my results. My belly button is horrendous and I’m already seeking out surgeons for a revision to it. Second, I should have followed my instinct saved more money and went with the my first choice surgeon. Being cheap doesn’t pay!! Thank God if I need a revision I can afford to pay for it. Although I would rather not. Rather not spend unnecessary money and not endure any more unnecessary pain. As of today I’m still not fully standing up straight. I assumed things were healing well, until I saw a small opening on the left side of the incision, panic stricken is what I am now. Hoping and praying it doesn’t open any further. I’m not set to see the surgeon again for another three weeks, I’m not sure if that’s entirely normal to have a one week appointment, then a two week appointment to remove the drains, and no other appointment for six weeks. He told me things looked good, however apart of me believe he is conditioned to say that even if it doesn’t. I’m pretty healthy eat good, take vitamins and watch my incision and belly button like a hawk. At this point patience and prayer is about all I have at the moment.

Made it downstairs today
This has definitely been an experience. I’ve made it down stairs to sit on the couch for a bit today. Omg!! Finally had a BM and it was pretty painful even with taking the stool softeners. Everyday I see a little of improvement in my mobility, with prayer and positivity I’m confident all will go well. Pictures coming soon.
