My experience with Dr Mejia

It took me a good 12 years after my gastric bypass to make the decision of body lifting. I've always considered surgery out of the USA due to the pricing and the fact that the results I see are not what I wanted. Since I'm a worry freak it took me a good nine months before anything was official. I had several consultations with Plastic Surgeons in Cali Colombia, however it just didn't work out. So I continued my search and found Dr. Mejia on Instagram. Honestly, I read every single post and his results were captivating. I also read most of the reviews here on RealSelf. I reached out via email and received a response quickly from Canela (Floraliz). She was very informative, responsive and professional. Once I was ready to make the decision to get the surgery done all went by really quick. Within eight days of saying yes to surgery I was traveling to DR. I decided on the VIP package due to the fact the I was traveling alone and it included the recovery house. I arrived on Monday Sept 2nd and was taken straight to the clinic by my appointed driver Moises. Once at the clinic the testing began and I met the doctor. Love how he keeps it real. Everyone in that office is so sweet and they make you feel so comfortable and welcoming. Day two you get to meet other drs so they can give you an ok for surgery and verbal instructions were given on what to do the night and morning of surgery. Day three was surgery day. I was in the clinic at 6:30 am and didn't get operated on until maybe after 1pm. I didn't mind the wait because let's be real that's what I'm there for. The nurses, the drs, the lab workers all were very professional. The clinic is on point and they stay on top of keeping it clean and all in order. The recovery house I'm staying was chosen by Mejia's group. Honestly you feel like home. The care the ladies provide is awesome and the food is good too. I'm not a picky eater so far I've enjoyed everything especially the homemade tea. Today is my second day post op and I'm in pain and uncomfortable. But it's expected after getting liposuction, extended tummy tuck and BBL is not easy on the body. Now the recovery house I'm staying at is Trébol RH. They're making sure I take my meds on time, go for my little walks, check my blood pressure, etc. So far I'm very content with my decision. I will do my best to do some more updates as time passes. I still have more surgeries that need to be done but I'll worry about that in the future. I know this review is super long but I hope it can be of help.

With the faja everything looks great. Without I have some areas that will need to me get a revision. However my doctor explained this would’ve happen. Happy with my results!!!
