Some photos during Week 1 Post op

I developed an allergic reaction that caused tiny red itchy goosebumps on my thighs, belly, breasts and arms. Doctor said it could all the shock of anesthesia and prescribed drugs I'm taking. I'll be happy when it goes away, but for now I just take benadryl for the symptoms. My drains are out and I'm feeling SO MUCH Better! I took my first shower on myself last night with my shower chair in the bath tub. (Previously, my partner was helping me shower) I was mobile enough to wash everything at a slower rate of course. Lol I'm very excited for each week to pass by.

Day 3 Post op

These photos are from day three post-op but physically I am now on day 5. Day one after surgery was the worst because of the swelling and feeling very heavy and as if my guts were going to spill out. I'm not too crazy about how my belly button looks at this moment but I'm hoping it'll shrink over time.
I really thought I was going to be more bed ridden, but I'm mostly mobile and alert. I guess since I'm on top of my fitness, diet and intermittent fasting before surgery, my recovery has been feeling better than expected.
Surgery day was a breeze, Day 1 was a swollen heavy nightmare. Day 2 was less swollen and manageable. I was finally able to take a shower on Day 2. My drains are both giving out less than 30 ml so I'm hoping to get them taken out on Thursday or Friday. My surgeon said I can get lymphatic massages right after my first post op appointment on August 28 and I cannot wait.

Excited - 5 Days Pre-op

Just had my pre-op appointment last week and everything is looking good. I was provided a binder by surgeon's office, however I was not provided a faja so I had to buy one. I bought one off of Amazon that was size 3XL to accommodate the swelling right after surgery. I will need to take some before pictures later on this week to have something to look forward to. My awesome boyfriend and my kids will be helping me in recovery.
