Super excited but really stressed out the night before surgery 12/1/21. I'm sure this all normal but ughhh. My minds racing thinking about going under and worrying about my kids. Any ways, my mom got sick so my hubby is going to take care of me post op... ahh. Pray for me y'all! I'll be posting before pics and a little about me soon. Updated on 5 Dec 2021: Good morning beauties! I'm on day 3 post op and feeling super sexy. I was able to shower today and I love how I'm looking so far. I would definitely say it's more discomfort not painful. I've been sleeping in the recliner after a miserable attempt to lay in bed. ( Yes, even with wedge pillow, mounds of pillows and so on. Lol) As I mentioned before my hubby ended up being my caretaker and he is doing an awesome job. I'm so grateful that he stepped up. Anyways, let me know if you have any questions I would love to share my experiences. Updated on 27 Feb 2022: I'm super happy with my results. The confidence that I have gained is like no other and I am overall just more happy wit myself. I did have a small revision on my right side but my doctor was awesome and it's healing great. Do the damn thing ladies! ????
Just had my pre-op appointment last week and everything is looking good. I was provided a binder by surgeon's office, however I was not provided a faja so I had to buy one. I bought one off of Amazon that was size 3XL to accommodate the swelling right after surgery. I will need to take some before pictures later on this week to have something to look forward to. My awesome boyfriend and my kids will be helping me in recovery. Updated on 23 Aug 2023: These photos are from day three post-op but physically I am now on day 5. Day one after surgery was the worst because of the swelling and feeling very heavy and as if my guts were going to spill out. I'm not too crazy about how my belly button looks at this moment but I'm hoping it'll shrink over time. I really thought I was going to be more bed ridden, but I'm mostly mobile and alert. I guess since I'm on top of my fitness, diet and intermittent fasting before surgery, my recovery has been feeling better than expected. Surgery day was a breeze, Day 1 was a swollen heavy nightmare. Day 2 was less swollen and manageable. I was finally able to take a shower on Day 2. My drains are both giving out less than 30 ml so I'm hoping to get them taken out on Thursday or Friday. My surgeon said I can get lymphatic massages right after my first post op appointment on August 28 and I cannot wait. Updated on 26 Aug 2023: I developed an allergic reaction that caused tiny red itchy goosebumps on my thighs, belly, breasts and arms. Doctor said it could all the shock of anesthesia and prescribed drugs I'm taking. I'll be happy when it goes away, but for now I just take benadryl for the symptoms. My drains are out and I'm feeling SO MUCH Better! I took my first shower on myself last night with my shower chair in the bath tub. (Previously, my partner was helping me shower) I was mobile enough to wash everything at a slower rate of course. Lol I'm very excited for each week to pass by.
