Exceeded All my Expectations
I reviewed several surgeons and clinics but the second I sat to meet with Dr Fichadia I knew I had my surgeon. Dr Fichadia and her staff made me feel at ease and she really listened to find the best surgical plan for my needs.
My stomach has always been something I felt self conscious about. And after spending 2.5 years on a weight loss journey I decided it was time to do something about it. Dr. Fichadia recommended a tummy tuck with flank liposuction so we could remove as much extra skin as possible. And within 24 hours my appt was set.
My nerves were starting to get the best of me of what to expect for the surgery and recovery. But on the day of my surgery Dr. Ficahdia and her team had me feeling so safe and relaxed I was dozing off while waiting for my surgery to begin. I am still shocked at the lack of pain post surgery. I had expected to be in significant pain while recovering but the only real issue as a mom was actually putting myself in time out and letting my body rest and heal.
Dr Fichadia gave me very realistic expectations of how everything would look post surgery. And I was advised that it can take six months to a year to see to full results. But at just 6 weeks post op the results were already so much better than I had even hoped for. After decades of being self conscious about my stomach it's hard to put into words how it feels to see my stomach now. Dr Fichadia has given me the gift of being able to see the results of years of hard work to take charge of my health that was hiding under all the skin. It still sometimes feels like a dream when I see how great my stomach looks now. And the freedom of picking out clothes and not focusing on what to wear to hide my belly is huge.
