Post op day 4
Today I removed the pain pump! You are probably thinking ...what are you talking about? Dr. Wahhab includes a pain pump in her surgery. Let me tell you if you have a different surgery make sure they have this. It's a big help on the pain. It was so easy to remove. Didn't even feel it. I am feeling good that I only have 1 tube sticking out of my body now. Pain level so high keeping up with the pain medicine starting to wean myself off of it though. I've had a lot of back pain I would say that's most of the pain that I'm feeling. My abs are sore and incision area is a little tingly but mostly it is my back. Intense back pain is how I would describe, it all your muscles in your back are tensed up. When in the shower I use a lanyard to hold the extra tubing. While in the shower you're back will hurt so bad. Most of my pain is in my back. Everything seems to be healing well though. The one thing that is a pain is the one piece binder that I have. It is a built in bra that goes down and you unhook the bottom to go to the bathroom. Sometimes it's hard to reconnect it. It is so snug tat it feels good to habit but pain to use bathroom or take off for the shower.
Post op day 3
My husband took me to Dr. Wahhab's office for my first check up. She said there was a lot of output on the left side so she will remove that suction tube. I could not feel it being removed unlike other girls on here who said it was unbearable. I didn't even know it was done. In addition we took off undergarments. I was able to see my belly button for the first time and my stitches. Holy swollen! The doctor said I could take a shower the next day after I remove the pain pump. What I am removing it !!?! She said it was so easy she thought that I could do it myself instead of coming into the office. I'll let you know how that goes tomorrow. I'm extremely itchy all of my body, she told me to take Benadryl that works well. I always forget to mention of boobs. I had fat transfer to my breast due to removal of breast implants. So far so good she said I did not have that much fat to remove therefore she only had about 500cc for both breast to use. I didn't want much so that looks like it worked out well. A lot might go back into the body let's hope it stays. Looking at my belly button now.... I am hoping it turns out normal.
Day 2 PO
Day Day one postop was very painful. So I skip that day explanation yesterday and was a sleep all day. The pain was not as bad as yesterday, but I am still staying on top my pain medicines. Very hard to get up and down without the help of my husband. My husband had to go to work today for a few hours, so my mother-in-law stayed with me. I realized today that my left pump is not pumping very much blood out while my right is very active. I go to the doctor for a check up tomorrow and we'll see what she says. It is very hard to pee at times although I feel like I have to go. I am making myself get up and go. It's good for blood circulation. My had are extremely numb still. I am officially border out of my mind.
