Dr Stewart Has Been Amazing

Going well, my bruising has pretty much all gone now. Still swollen around lower abdomen but much flatter in the morning . Still wearing a compression garment 24 hours a day, I tried a few hours one afternoon without and I just got quite swollen and uncomfortable. Still sleeping on my back but in bed and managing without a wedge pillow and just a pillow under my knees .

Things I found most useful, a recliner /lift chair for first 3 weeks, I actually slept in it . It stopped me trying to sleep on my side, gave me the right angles to support the scar and helped me to get up and about without the twist of getting out of bed . I also had a mobility walker and it helped support my back whilst getting about which was very sore from being hunched over, a shower chair, A neck pillow to sleep , micro pore tape to support my scar once surgical dressing came off.

I’m so very pleased I chose Dr Stewart as my surgeon , not only has he been incredibly caring and extremely professional but I have felt so safe and reassured in every step along the way, both before and after my surgery. I could call or message him at any point post surgery and would get a reply within 30 mins. I have felt in very safe hands, this meant so much to me as I was travelling 3.5 hr from home for my surgery. (Full Abdominoplasty with muscle repair and a nasty c section scar removed ) I never felt I was rushed or that any question has seemed too small. He carefully took the time to explain any concerns I may have had and has been extremely honest. I work as a designer and I’m known to have a very critical eye when it comes to attention to detail, Dr Stewart’s his work has been perfection. I’m also a bit guilty of researching something throughly and I try to be as informed as possible before committing to anything , especially something big like a surgical procedure , you can trust Dr Stewart to deliver what you hope for and more. I honestly can’t recommend him highly enough . My surgery was slightly more complicated as I had to also combine a gynaecologist but Dr Stewart and his secretary Anni were amazing in coordinating this and making it happen for me. I’m so pleased I had the courage to do this, even at 3 weeks post op I can see the amazing results, I can’t wait to see how I continue to heal. It’s been well worth it... a lifetime of less pain and more self confidence , I just wish I had done it sooner. Thank you Dr Stewart and Anni
