Thank You Dr. Owens

I labored far too long on writing this review. Bottom line - Dr. Owens and her staff are amazing. My son was born in 2007 and by the following summer I was noticing a growth on my stomach. A friend suggested I go to my doctor and see if it was a hernia, they were right. I had my first hernia surgery in 2011 to remove what I referred to as my "belly nose" and within a year after surgery, the hernia came back. I had my second hernia surgery in 2018 and within a year, my "belly nose" came back. I worked out, changed my diet and did everything I could, but I hated the way my stomach looked. I would wear oversize tops, large sweaters and anything I could to cover my "belly nose". Eventually, a friend told me about Dr. Owens. I am so glad that they did. From my first initial consult to my second consult a year later when I was really ready. Dr. Owens and her staff, did not miss a beat and did everything they could to schedule my procedure around my work schedule to minimize the amount of time I would need to take off work and ensure that I was still able to heal properly. They took time to fully explain the details of the procedure and recovery period and answered all of my questions, as I had many. So in 2021 I had my first tummy tuck coupled with my third hernia repair and I am so glad that I did. Dr. Owens connected me with a great general surgeon to take care of the hernia and she did the rest to make my "belly nose" disappear. For the first time in 14 years, I have a "nose" free stomach and it feels so good. I have the confidence to wear bikinis again and I no longer need to wear men's large t shirts. My boobs stick out farther than my belly like my body was made to. I am so thankful for Dr. Owens and her team that continue to take such great care of me and are so responsive as I continue to have a million questions.
