Disappointing Experience

I waited over 7 months to write this review in hopes that things would improve.
I had a tummy tuck, breast lift, and upper back lift with Dr. Askari on 10/25/25. During the consultation, Dr. Askari was kind and confident, and I felt comfortable traveling for the procedure.

Unfortunately, my recovery was extremely difficult. I ended up in the ER shortly after surgery due to low blood pressure, and it took over three months for me to feel somewhat stable again. Right away, I noticed that my tummy tuck scar was severely crooked — significantly higher on the right side — and that my back scar was placed far above my bra line.

I brought these concerns up to his team and was told to tape the scars. I expressed that a revision felt necessary, especially for my back. Dr. Askari acknowledged that he should have had me put on my bra to align the incision better but said the placement was best for my anatomy. Despite continuous compression use, I still have residual loose skin and fat on my abdomen and noticeable laxity on my back. The liposuction and J-plasma left uneven contours on my sides.

Dr. Askari advised me to try laser treatments, which I did — unfortunately, they resulted in hyperpigmentation on my brown skin. In an effort to improve the laxity and uneven contours on my own, I also spent an additional $5,000 on BodyTite and Morpheus8. Despite all of this, the improvements have been minimal, and I continue to feel incredibly disappointed.

What has been most frustrating is the lack of follow-up care. I have not heard from Dr. Askari’s office in months. I don’t know any surgeon in Wisconsin who doesn’t schedule a 6-month post-op. While the price in Florida was more affordable, the aftercare has left me feeling dismissed and unsupported. It honestly felt like I was rushed out and that the practice prioritizes volume over patient care.

I recently had a consultation in Wisconsin and was told my back scar is, in fact, placed too high. I was given a quote for revision surgery, which is disheartening after everything I’ve already been through — physically, emotionally, and financially.
