I went to see Dr. Fichadia for a tummy tuck with diastasis recti repair. My main priority was the diastasis recti repair as it was starting to affect my daily life - chronic lower back pain and inability to do the workouts I wanted to. I had met with another surgeon who made me feel uncomfortable and like they were trying to upsell procedures to me. I was not looking for liposuction or major contouring. I then met with Dr. Fichadia and I felt like she took my concerns into account and then offered a no fuss game plan to repair my diastasis recti and tighten skin below my belly button. In fact, her quote came out to be $8k LESS than the other surgeon's because she wasn't trying to sell me on procedures I didn't ask for. The procedure went well but it was also during a major ice storm in the city. Dr. Fichadia went above and beyond, meeting me at the clinic even when it was closed due to inclement weather. She was attentive to my needs post-op and made me feel very cared for. And while I wasn't super concerned about the contouring aspect of the procedure, let me tell you I LOOK SNATCHED. I am amazed by my new found core stability and how beautiful my post partum stomach looks now! My belly button was also done so well, it looks incredibly natural.
