WORTH IT
Hi! Here with a 7 month update. Pictures below. The scar looks great. Raised in some areas and flat and thin in other areas. I use silicone scar tape and gel daily. I tape at night with Rejuvaskin tape and then use the gel twice daily. I just bought 2 bottles of Dr Oppenheimer’s scar cream and will use that too.
I still swell throughout the day—which is normal. I was told swelling last up to 9 months. It’s not much and only once I’ve eating something.
I LOVE my belly button, stomach, and my overall silhouette. I wouldn’t change a thing!

Update - 9 Weeks Post-Op
Hi!
Still really happy with my results — I’m now 9 weeks post-op! Recovery is definitely a process, but it’s been so worth it. The only annoying part is the swelling in my belly area. I’m still wearing a compression garment for 12 hours a day until I hit the 3-month mark.
I have my 3-month follow-up with Dr. Opp in October, so hopefully, he’ll say I can stop wearing it. We’ll see!

9 Days Post-Op – So Happy I Added the Lower Body Lift! (Out-of-Town Patient)
I’m absolutely thrilled with my results—just 9 days post-op after having a tummy tuck, flankplasty, lower body lift, and flank liposuction performed by Dr. Oppenheimer. For reference, I’m 5’2” and was 142 lbs before surgery.
I was initially unsure about adding the lower body lift, but after asking tons of questions, Dr. Oppenheimer reassured me it was the right choice—and I’m so glad I trusted his expertise. Even with swelling, the improvement in my back side is already dramatic. I can’t wait to see the final results!
As an out-of-town patient, I visited multiple surgeons in my area before choosing Dr. Oppenheimer. His work consistently stood out—natural-looking belly buttons, thin and well-placed scar lines, no pleating. His attention to detail and consistency were exactly what I was looking for.
I stayed at the Guest House for recovery, and it was a great setup. It had everything I needed—shower chair, walker, toilet seat riser, recliner, and more. Sammi, the Operations Manager, was amazing—super responsive and made sure I had everything I needed during my stay.
Huge thanks to the surgical and nursing team: Maci (Surgical Coordinator), Katrina (Nurse), London (Nurse Anesthesiologist), Andrea (Clinic & OR Nurse), Claribel (PACU Nurse), and Christina (Overnight Nurse). Everyone was so caring, professional, and clearly passionate about what they do.
This has been such a worthwhile journey, and I’m so glad I made the investment in myself.

Hi! Can I ask how you found your surgeon, I am looking for one near me right now. Did you just google surgeons, look on social media or was it a referral? How long did it take?
Hi, I really don’t remember how I found my surgeon. I think it was through a Tummy Tuck Facebook group. I also found a lot of surgeons in my area from Real Self and most of those surgeons have social media platforms. Look at who they follow (any surgeons) and see if you like their work. If you do, book a consultation.
How did what take? The consultation? If that’s what you meant, it depends on the surgeon and the questions you’ll ask during your consultation. Also, some doctors charge a consultation fee.
